They also told me:
"I don't even know what caused the nerve damage in his leg. I'm guessing somebody probably abandoned him instead of having to pay the vet bills on his leg injury. That CRAP happens all the time.He is a very sweet boy who loves his lap time just as much as going for a walk. He did have one accident in the house, but has been good ever since. He gets along with other dogs, but does get jealous of them when he has to share your attention. We tried to get better pictures of him, but some dogs are so camera shy, it's like your holding a gun to them! That picture of him on there makes him look a little crazy. He basically looks like a scnauzer with soft poodle hair. He is a good boy and catches on quick. He picked up on the rules and routines around here in no time."
I actually thought he looked kind of cute in that picture.
Hope he can find a furever home.

Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
UPDATE: Noodles is still not adopted. Here is an updated photo of him:

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman.
