Now running even slower for me than when I started this topic. I noticed it last night.
It's so slow between page loading today I started timing- 6 times switching between forum topics it took nearly a minute to load each time. The slowest was 1 min 5 seconds, the fastest was 51 seconds for the page to fully load.
Then I tried posting in a topic- that took a full 2 minutes to load ( a couple of short paragraphs, no pictures).
Still on a macbook running firefox.

FYI to all and note to self:
Recent downtime this morning was related to server load issues caused by unknown PHP conflicts currently under investigation.
PHP 7.0 now enabled without FPM, so GZIP no longer active for HTML, which may or may not cause a noticeable hit in page load performance. This should be temporary as we endeavor to persevere...
