Live Chat and much more!
Okay...wait........it's NOT me....it isn't....I do 't think anyway. I think those scum buckets did something so tablet people can't get I to chat room .
And .....wait..........YES, I have gotten inplent of t es before and I'm logged in and doing g everything g I always did.
So here's what's going on..... I hit "live cat!
the live chat screen comes up......it shows Benny 55 has "joined public.... little "b" of course.....and I can see a couple of lines of conversation......but everything is frozen.....Usually everyone will greet whoever just joins............but I waited ........didn't want t be rude so waited some more for greeting..........everyone e stopped chatting.....(know now it was frozen)......went ahead and typed hello to everyone.....and still no response........I stopped crying after a while and tucked my tail between my legs and went back to discussion forum and looked at Happy Hannah's pictures!
So emailed m friend Jill....she likes Adam Levine and Americone Ice Cream so I knew she'd CHAT with me:-) Jill explained that they could see I logged....AND THAT MADE THEM NAPPY:-) :- and I guess couldn't figure out why I wasn't chatting!!!
Okay, enough slight exxageration:-)
Facts......logged in.....shows them I'm logged in join public......my chat screen stays frozen I guess on the point that I logged into.....I type (well, my version of typi g) and "send" and nothing happens
Singing Neil Diamond over here: "I am I said.......I am I cried.....no one heard at all, not even the chair..!!....or the chat room
🙂
Lotta love from me to you!
Sally and Happy Hannah

Hmm... you've stumped the team of technical monkeys good with this one!
If the chat room opens and shows you're logged in, we're sorry to say it must be a client related issue... as in, on the client software end of the connection, not the server. Nothing has changed with the chat infrastructure. Is anything different on your tablet recently.
Please try refreshing your browser cache. We don't know what type of tablet you're using, but in Safari (iPad), you'll find "Empty Cache" right in the Safari menu.
The issue you describe could also be caused by temporary network latency, or a lack of RAM allocated to your browser software. Please advise if problems persist.

It's an Acer Iconia tablet (think it as Android somewhere in name). I got it on line f those TV shopping networks because t was really cheap (clue!) and "so sip.e to use...blah..blah)
Anyway, there were no I structins in Boston..just a one page little ditty that basically told me how to cut it on and that was about it.
Will take to maybe Office Depot and see if they can help me find my "browser cache" and "refresh" the darn thing...pitiful huh?
And no, I don't notice anything different.....the keyboard still disappears when it wants to,...typing slows down after typing just a few minutes...skips letters....types any words it wants to even if I'm typing something entirely different---------so no, it's not doing anything different fly!!.....see....look at that....I typed DIFFERENTLY.....and IT typed Different fly!
I did check STORAGE and there is plenty of space left.....don't k ow if that's same as checking rams or not
SERIOUSLY, thanks for checking. You KNOW I really do appreciate it.

So sorry the problems persist, but it definitely seems to be an issue with the device. The issues with the disappearing keyboard, mystery typing, etc. are just too coincidental.
FYI: Storage space is different than RAM (memory). We can only suggest restarting the tablet and having no other applications open at the time. Make sure all software is up to date, and find out if there is a way to reset the device or flash its P-RAM (Parameter Memory). Sorry for getting technical, just trying to help...

You REALLY cannot even begin to imagine e how completely out of the loop I am on the jargon....... YOU would get a giggle to if you could see how my eyes crossover and smoke comes out of my ears when I see read some of the "solutions" offered. And what's so adorable,........yes, ADORABLE...... is I KNOW you are trying to make it as simple as you possibly can....and I still have NO clue...zero--nadda!
Barret/Heather said one time to change m "auto correct".......I would if I k ew where it was.....THAT'S just one small sample.e of how REALLY, REALLH dumb I am on this stuff!
Okay, I do feel badly for bothering you....and I know you're gonna say not to......but your time and your skills or soooo valuable and they truly are wasted on me! I was just sooo Hopi g it was so etching that a click of the button o the site's end would fix it!! No such luck!

Please, no! We feel bad for not being able to help by flipping that magic switch. Where did we put that again? ...
You are not dumb! Your technical talents just apparently lie elsewhere.

Admin, you may have something there..."Your technical talents just apparently lie elsewhere". I have the same issue (you've already seen some evidence of that). Sally, if you find yours, please look for mine, too!
Tried typing destination "Elsewhere - GO!" on our GPS and The Evil One just kept RE-CALCULATING and we ended up going in circles in the state forest yet again. and no bags of technical talents anywhere.
Roo ROOOOOOOOOOOOOOO wuf.
I knew I could check back in here and get my "laugh fix" for the day! You crack me up Lkz:-)
I'll keep looking Liz! I'll set out a "have-a-heart" trap and see if I can catch those little talent critters! j derstand those kinds of "talents" often do travel in pairs and prefer the Colorado "Rocky Mountain High" kind of weather! .....and whatever rocky mountain HIGH may mean to you Liz:-)
Hey Liz, I did try and download (HA. that's a computer term....never too late to teach an old dog new tricks) manual from Acer and it appears that COOKIES clearing and "cache refresh" maybe the same thing ........yo were o to so etching earlier! I think Hannah was messing with my tablet......saw the word COOKIE...tried to eat the co outer.....a d the rest is history!
Yeah, that has to be it, because I could get into the chat room
a couple of weeks ago. Kinda' sad that my dog knows more about computers than I do!
Liz, you do have t figure out how to get a picture up of Roxie....OBVIOUSLY, I'm of no help...it would love to see her. And a video of her ROO ROO
We better stop hijacking admin's site or he'll find that on/off switch and kick us off permently!
NAD thanks Jim for your continued kind words. ND FOR ALL YOU DO!

Sally I have a dumb question...have you tried taking your tablet to a computer repair place to have them look at it?

Hey Sally,
I just checked and its just your tablet. My tablet lets me on chat without issue... On a personal note, if you ever decide to get another one - get an iPad, they're about as user friendly as a tablet gets! I know they're expensive but I feel they're worth it. My mother in law is the MOST computer illiterate person I know and we got her one, she has been able to use it for a few months without calling me every other day like when we bought her a laptop, lol
So, I didn't find much about your tablet, but this info might help you:
I found this in a forum about the tablet "Download 1-tap cleaner from Sam Lu. Best thing and quickest. You can also clear defaults and history."
So I guess you go into the app store and find 1-tap cleaner and install it. Open the program and have it clear history and caches.
If you're just trying to reset the browser history and cache you can follow these instructions if you're using chrome: http://acer.cus.....oid-3.0%3F
Hopefully that was helpful
Heather
Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog
