Hello everypawdy!

The first 2013 Tripawds Survey, "Long Term Osteosarcoma Survivors" brought some enlightening results about how members have done after being diagnosed with this cancer.

Let's keep the momentum going: what other surveys should we do? What kind of information would you like to know about Tripawds' members' lives on 3 legs, with and without cancer?

Throw some survey ideas around and we'll put 'em in the hopper.

Thank you!

Not particularly a happy topic, and probably difficult to get #s, since I'd imagine the attrition rate on the site is pretty high... but I'd be curious to get an informal MST (following diagnosis; following amp; following mets). I've read the studies, but it's nice to hear from "real people" :p

Megan, that's OK, we always want to look at all angles. But what's a "MST"?

YEAH MEGAN stop using smart people talk :P

I was wondering the same thing :)

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013. How about something related to chemo, since there has been some discussion about the number treatments that different oncologists are suggesting. Something like-- What type of chemo did you use? How many treatments? How long was your dog symptom free after completing chemo? etc... And also add in questions for those that went the non-chemo or holistic route.

04/09/13- OSA Diagnosis ~ 04/23/13- Left Forelimb Amputation ~ Carboplatin Chemo (6 total)

I will always love you, Athena.

Megan, got it!

Jess, that's a good idea. We'd have to narrow it down to treatments for a specific type of cancer in order for it to be meaningful. I'm assuming osteosarcoma for this one? We could do a different chemo survey for each type of bone cancer.
