Good luck! You and Daisy Mae are in our thoughts. It's great that you have made the decision and can now put that behind you and look forward to helping her recover. My Meg was on Metacam and Tramadol too, and it worked really well for her. Stay connected. We are here for you.

Unfortunately Daisy Mae has earned her wings today. The cancer had already spread into her lymph nodes and she didn't make it through the surgery. Thanks for all the thoughts, love, and support through this part of her journey!

I am so sorry to hear this. She looked like such a sweet and gentle soul. I cannot imagine how devastated you must be, but take comfort in knowing that you did this out of love. We just can't beat cancer. Not sure if you have heard of the Rainbow Bridge, but know that Otis, Bacon, Jynx, Holly (some of our recent Angels) and Jerry, Maggie, Sassy, Happy Hannah, Shelby, Tazzie, Buddy, Max, Neka, Murphy, Zeus and all of the old timers will be greeting her there. She will be surrounded by love there, just as she was here.

Oh my heart breaks for you ... this is never easy and when they don't make it. I wish I could surround you with a big huge hug!!!! I am so sorry for your loss of your sweet Daisy Mae ...
You are always a part of our family so please come back if you wish and share more photos and stories of her life ... we will help you grieve.
Much love,

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife
Oh, no! I'm so sorry, not the update I was expecting.
Words escape me right now. Sending strong, peaceful thought to you and your family on this terrible day.

Oh, no, I am so terribly sorry her cancer was more advanced and this was the result. I hope you know your beautiful girl could not have been more loved nor had a better home. Wishing you comfort in the tenderness of memory and wishing dear Daisy Mae the sweetest dreams.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly. His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.
Noooo, noooooo. This is just devastating to hear!!! Like everyone, I'm speechless and heartbroken and sickened to hear this.
Sweet, sweet Daisy Mae, I'm just so very, very sorry. Shaking my head in disbelief.
We go through this journey committed to doing everything possible and eliminate every risk possible before proceeding. We do this because we HAVE to try! We HAVE to give them a chance. But this disease is brutal and vicious and sneaky and shows no mercy. Daisy Mae is the third family member who transitioned the last couple of weeksduring surgery or shortly thereafter. It's not ssomething we see often a d we can tend to forget sometimes that all surgery has risks. And then Daisy Mae and Jynx and the sweet Newfie...all in a matter of weeks......too much....too unbearable.
Daisy Mae wanted you to try. She was willing to take the risk. Once the lymphs were involved it became clear there would have not been any time for quality after the ordeal of recovering from the surgery. In some bizarre way you can find solace in that.
I'm going to come back later. My ramblings are doing you no good. There are no words. All we can do is try to love you through this. Daisy Mae and you are our family.
Surrounding you with love and Daisy Mae's gentle grace

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Wow. I can't tell you how sorry I am to hear this. My heart just aches for your pack, nobody ever expects something like this and I cannot imagine what you must feel like. I wish there was something we could do to make it easier. Just know that you gave it everything you had, and Daisy Mae will always be by your side. May she forever be running free with all our Tripawd angels, lighting the heavens and shining down on all of us.
Please, if you'd like to share more about her, we'd love to celebrate her life with you. {{{{{hugs}}}}}} I'm so very sorry.

I am so, so sorry to hear about the loss of sweet Daisy Mae. This is just utterly heartbreaking. You did everything you possibly could and you showed her such love and dedication. Please take comfort from that. But this is so cruel and I am desperately sorry. Sending you a massive hug.

Oh no! I'm so sorry for your loss of sweet Daisy Mae! I know there are no perfect words at this devastating time to make you feel better. Your love of this sweet soul shines through your posts. Cancer totally does what it wants when it wants. Our only recourse is to try to get ahead of it and that is what you did. You did your best. You tried. Sending you huge hugs and much love at this hardest of times. Your Angel Daisy Mae is now flying at the bridge healthy and whole joining all our angels. God must've needed a very special bloodhound in heaven. Look for the brightest star in the sky that will be your sweet soul Daisy Mae shining her light down on you from the heavens. May you find comfort in that healing light.
