I just wanted to share with my fellow Tripawd's what a super cool thing BC Kess's mom did for me! Because of her nomination, I have been asked to be the Canine Grand Marshall for Sunday's Puppy Up walk in Auburn.

I'd better go practice my parade wave!!!

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. Tripawds blog, and a more detailed blog here. Please also check out my novel, What the Dog Ate. Now also in paperback! Purchase it at Amazon via Tripawds and help support Tripawds!

The only kinda 'walk' that the Monkeybutt Bunny would ever be the leader of is a 'perp walk'!

Bwwahahahahahahahahhaha

Can't wait to see pictures of you in your beautiful TWP cape with all the adoring crowds around you, Rio. You are one of my idols. (I, unlike the Monkeybutt, can admit when I am a little jealous.... I totally want one of those capes. And I want to have crowds adore me! You enjoy every second of it!!!!)

Kisses,
Abby

Plus we get to share the honor with Jetson. He's a super cute GSD K9 cop Tripawd! Rio totally has a crush on him. The first time I met Jetson was the day that we learned that Rio's cancer had returned and she would be losing her leg. He was in the office for a chemo treatment, and he was just hopping around, loving everyone, happy as can be. That little glimpse of life with a Tripawd was part of what gave me the courage to do what I had to do -- that and everypawdy here.

We're so excited -- okay, mostly it's me that's excited. Rio doesn't seem fazed by her impending stardom.

Micki and Rio,

How exciting for you!  I hope the weather was pawsitively bootiful today and that everyone smiled and waved to you as you went by.  Are you and Jetson an "item" now, Rio?  He is very handsome, but I think the police department where he worked are mean people.

Hugs and kisses,

Spirit Hope

...and Monkeybutt Freaky Ears, Spirit Tripawds laugh at how jealous you are of Rio!  You've been acting up a lot lately, and we are plotting with tripawds everywhere on how to give you a "correction."  You've gotten too big for your pirate britches!

We will give you one chance to apologize to Grand Marshall Rio before we get you!

Sadly, Jetson didn't make it to the walk after all. His mom got really sick with strep throat and had to go to the hospital the night before the walk. We were bummed because we were looking forward to seeing him again.

Great day! You can read all about it on my blog! And be sure and check out Kess's moms photos! They are PAWESOME!!!!
