I will post photos later, need to drive my son back down to his school now. Baron really was a beauty.

We were blessed that our vet agreed to come to our house.  We back up to a forest preserve and occassionally we will hear coyotes back there but not very often.  About 30 seconds after Baron passed, the coyotes startled howling very loudly for about two minutes.  We'd never heard anything like it and it was the middle of the day.  I believe Baron's spirit was released and he was chasing those coyotes away from our house.  Still protecting us even as he passed.  True story.

Tears flow here hearing this.  Beautiful Baron was such a Warrior.  Know this entire Tripawd nation grieves with you and your family.  He was met at the bridge by all our Angels that went before him where he now runs healthy and whole once again.  My thoughts and prayers are with you at this the hardest of times in this journey.  Baron will live on forever in the love you carry within your hearts.  Much love and many hugs.

OMD I just read your last post about the coyotes howling as Baron passed!  Chills here!  What a sign that boy has already sent you!  We too live in an area that has coyotes and I have NEVER heard them during the day only at night.  Barons spirit truly remains at your side protecting you always.

Oh I am so sorry for your loss but I definitely got chills when I read your post about the coyotes!!! Most definitely that was your sweet Baron protecting you and sending you a message!!!

I know my April Angel, Shelby, was there at the bridge to guide Baron and comfort him as he misses his family but is free from his tired body and all healthy again!!!

Sending love...

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

I'm so sorry!  We didn't know Baron long, but once you log on here you are family.

If you find it helpful to your healing process we would love to know more about your beautiful boy and your journey together.  For now I hope we can ease just a bit of your burden.

Baron lives on in your heart.

Well, got our Son back down to school. Finals only 4 weeks away and so worried as my sweet sensitive kid is as heartbroken as I am. Hard to be in the house where every corner reminds me of my sweet Baron. Here's a crazy story I received from the breeder/my friend who gave us Baron today after I told her about the coyotes howling after he passed.

It wasnt a coincidence. It happened to me when Kola died at home. After she passed, all my dogs started howling. It was eerie but yet somehow comforting. They knew her spirit was leaving. Patty, I think of you and Baron every day. He was such a good dog that he wanted you to know that he's ok. Sending my love, Karla

Oh gosh...chills head ro toe again!!

This just reminded me of something that happe ed years ago. The vet came to the house to help my Bull Mastiff (named Cupcake) transition dje to kidney failure. My husband I and were with her. We had her pal, our Siberian Husky in another room with the door closed! Within seconds of the injection, he howled and howled and howled. It was a howling sound you hear when packs of wolves communicate with each other. She was being released from an earthly body that no longer served her. I do believe his howlings were celebrating her ho e.

The Coyotes, the friend whose dogs howled when Karla transitioned, and my Husky (whose name was Karloff...ki da close to "Karla"), yeah they were all celebrating the release of their energy from the earth clothes and were "celebrating them home".

Tha ks for sharing this with us. It brings us all comfort. Run free Baron! Have you found Karla yet? Send your mom some more signs, okay?

Holding you tightly in our hearts. We know how much this hurts.

Patty, I'm really, really sorry. I just now learned that Baron is an angel now, and my heart breaks for you and your family.

Of course you are crying, you wouldn't be normal otherwise. We pay this great price, because their love and faithfulness to us was even greater...dogs are an amazing gift and when you feel that they have been taken from us, it's hard to live without that physical presence. I do strongly believe that they never leave our sides though. His spirit is strong. The coyotes knew it, nature knows it. Baron is free of his earthly body and now able to live in your heart and soul for eternity. In time, you will feel it.

For now, let yourself grieve and know that you aren't alone. We are always here for you. Call the Tripawd Helpline if you'd like, someone will always be there to help.

Many, many condolences coming your way.

Awe Patty!  You can't stop crying because you loved fully and in doing that you must grieve fully.  Our brain tells us that we did the absolute right thing in loving them enough to let them go but it takes a much longer time for our hearts to catch up to that very same knowledge.  Sending you much love and healing thoughts.

Patty,

I am so heartbroken for you over the loss of your beautiful boy Baron..... This is one canine cancer that turns my heart to ice. My angel Polly and I started our battle with this ugly awful cancer just a few months before you became a member, and I lost my beautiful black Lab Maggie just a little over a year before Polly's diagnosis  to this crappy cancer as well..... But make no mistake, Baron was a hero here, and he definitely kicked ugly osteosarcoma.

Please know you did everything possible for Baron all along this unwanted journey, your eternal love for him will never leave you, but stay within your heart always..... I am hoping all the joy he brought to your life will help ease your awful heartbreak.

Keeping you in my thoughts, and sending healing {{{hugs}}}

My sweet Baron is now an angel.  He lost his short battle to hemangiosarcoma yesterday morning.  We were so fortunate to all be with him, my Son came home from college to help him cross, my Daughter, Husband and myself.  There are simply no words to express our sadness.  He was such a special boy and inspired so many after losing his leg and bravely fighting off osteosarcoma.  His loss his so deep and he will never, ever be forgotten.

RIP my most beautiful boy.  I will miss you every day but look forward to someday meeting you at the bridge.  I love you Baron.

I am so sorry, I saw this too late. I also just faced almost the exact same situation.

My condolences, my heart and tears are shared with you.
