It was right around this time a year ago  front leggers Frankie jad cruciate surgery repair on his left rear leg.  Recovery was long and rwally, really hard ams required ,ots of Rehab. That strong will, hard headed, determined,   "do it  my way" Frankie recovered  after many months.

He periodically  gave me a scare with a collapse every now and then, or holding a leg up, etc.  I was always worried the cruciate  repair surgery  was the cause.  Fortunately rest and meds, helped him over the hump.

Several weeks ago , another  scare....xrays, check of leg, he seemed okay...jist lots of arthritis ... fot better ....until he didn't, 

Other rear leg has full  blown cruciate tear.

His other legs jist do not jave the strength  to compensate .  The Rejab Bet said he's trying to walk and balnce on his one front "peg leg"   And let me tell you, if Frankie was as strong willed and determined as he is, he wouldn't  be avle ro make it long enpugh for me ro chevk out options.  See video belpw.

After tons and tons of research with my regular Vet and Rehab Bet (who reached out to a Sports and Rehab Vet) and someone  who had a connection with Colorado Rehab, it was determined  the ONLY option to give him a CHANCE was the stronger TPLO  surgery with tons of Rehab    There are no guaramtees as it's  hard to say how much longer his  other legs can help while he's  trying to recover.  

Me dear, dear regular Vet knew that, as impossible  admit was to figure out the funds, she knew I didn't  have the physical strentth.  She cried, I cried.  The TPLP is not a surgery she does or she would jave worked out a payment plan with me.

Then, without batting any eye,  she said she also couldn't  stand the thought of "putting him down" without giving him a chance.  She said she would BOARD HIM AT NO CHARGE FOR A COUPLE OF WEEKS and try and get him over as mich of a hump as she could.  She's  not a 24/7 and she's  not a Rehav.  But she can ice him and carry him out to potty, keep him confined, etc.  Maybe do some range of motion.  She did say she would probably  lightly sedate him some because he's  QUITE VOCAL!!!  THAT'S  MY BOY!!!

I know once I get him home, somehow I still jave to jave daily help (I jave to wprk) and, of coirse, extensive Rehab.  All the Specialist  say that is the most crucial part to his recovery .  Right now, I'm focused on one chunk  at a time...the surgery .

Once my Vet made that offer, the Christmas Miracle continued.  It was mafic...truly ,magical!  An unbelievable  gift was given to Frankie, and to me, to cover the surgery cost.  And I wasn't  really sharing this situation with anyone...or TRYING not to!!   What was TRULY impossible .....TRULY IMPOSSIBLE , even with my kind  Vet's offer...became POSSIBLE!   The generosity  extended to us without  hesitation  from the purest of hearts, the purest of humanity,  unbelievable 

Sooop Frankie's surgery is scheduled for this Monday.  Of coirse, it's  supposed to snow!  So they also set up a baxk day for  Tuesday.

I'm  absolutely  on pins and needles.  Certainly  concerned avout javing to to surgery ,  but sooop scared a put my ability  to give him proper care so he has THE best chance !  I K OW Frankie will do his part!  I K NOW he will!!  I just jave to figure out how to take abput  forty  years, become instantly strong and fit and talk to the weather Gods so we have no snow and ice for the next four months!!   Easy peasy, right.

I hope with all my heart and Soul this works for Frankie.  I hope with all my jeart and Soul this is the right path for my Super Dawg Cool Hound Frankie!  Please dear goD, and all the Tripawd Angels in the sky, help my Frankie💖

Sooo......I'll let you know Monday what's  going on.  THANKS FOR LISTENING!!! I'm so scared I can't  even eat ice cream!!!!!😭😭😭   And I'm so grateful  for this chance for Frankie , he and I will NOT fail!!!-
