Aww that pretty girl! I love her jacket, especially that it's large enough to fit a big gal like her. Who is the manufacturer?
Thanks for letting us know how she's doing. Glad she at least ate something! You're right, do whatever it takes to keep her eating. Keep that fridge stocked with the stinkiest meats, cheeses and whatever else you think she'll eat and you'll be set.
Just wanted to throw this out there, but that Gabapentin dose seems pretty low for a dog her size. Wyatt Ray is on 400mg 3x a day for ongoing pain control and he is only 81 lbs. You may want to ask your vet if it's OK to increase and that may help ease the rapid breathing / panting signals. Gabapentin is usually OK to bump up but be sure ask.

Thank you for the suggestion on the gabapentin! Our vet did say that we could up her dose, but she didnt say why. Now that i know ill definitely ask them!
i got her coat off amazon its a zack and zoey nor'easter. It was one of the few ive found that could accommodate her deep chest and skinny waist. They have a very resonable price and lots of colors. Definitely a must have here. Fall is coming fast. Were actually stacking fire wood today! I might even start the stove for roane tomorrow if the temp dips😉

a bit of an inside joke at our house. Roane doesn't like to be cold! she will share her spot if you ask nicely and don't mind 130 pound dog in your lap!

Yep, that's Roane's woodstove alrigjt! She clearly is "one" with it!
I keep scrolling back up to look at those photos. She knows how to warm herself head to butt. And she is such a pretty girl!
My Frankie and Merry Myrtle (and Happy Hannah in the past) will sleep by the woodstove and get so warm they'll pant, but they won't give it up!

thank you all so much for helping me celebrate Roane's lifewe couldn't have made the journey with out the love and support of the tripawd community.
One year ago today my sweet soulmate earned her angel wings. they say that the souls of our pets choose us and i was blessed to have her love, laughter and light in my life. I'll never have the words to express how much i loved her or how much i miss her... Be good sweet girl no barking and no chewing mama loves you.
Our dear friend Nancy made me a beautiful video to help me honor and remember Roane. I've been saving it for a special occasion and i think this is the perfect day to share it. (as soon as i can figure out how

Thank you for creating this beautiful memory for me ❤ they say that grief is love with no where to go. Everytime i watch this it helps me work through my grief and smile more.

Oh my gosh the pond, yes! Who cares about some silly back leg when you can be the swamp thing in the pond hunting frogs!
She had such a big personality and she always kept me on my toes!
We have a big tool shed out back with an slopping roof off the side for firewood. One day i was getting ready for work and heard her barking out back. I looked out the upstairs window and she was on top of the shed roof barking like a crazy dog at a squirrel that was in the tree next to the shed!!!! She jumped the 3 feet onto the slanted woodshed roof and scaled her way up!!! (This was before she became a tripawd) At the time i think i had a heart attack but now it makes me think of snoopy on the dog house 🤣 silly Roane!!!

I was avoiding this all day because I knew I would be sobbing like a baby. I know the beautiful tributes that Nancy can put together and I knew I would be smiling and crying at the same time. Well, sobbing like a baby was kind of the overriding emotion because of that song at first. OMD! That song!! Those words!! The quote(s)! Nancy has a unique way of coming up with some of the most beautiful ways of touching our Souls. Those memories though of a life well loved and well lived..PERFECT!!!.
Those beautiful pictures that Nancy put together, and then to read the subsequent posts Bev made chock full of happy memories made my heart smile!!
I loved seeing the video of her two hoomans helping her so lovingly and gently with the sling💖 And Roane gave a good little shake off when they dropped it.
And the pictures of you and Roane snuggling on the floor with her "hugging" you with her paw. So much love between you two😊
