Hi all,

I hope everyone is hanging in and all of our tripawds are living their best lives! My name is Miranda and my best friend and soul dog was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma on May 13th. To make an incredibly long story short. His biopsy after amputation showed his tumor to be Chondrosarcoma instead of Osteosarcoma. I'm happy to hear he may have a bit better prognosis but still feel in over my head with what to expect. His tumor was located in his hind right leg. I'm having a hard time finding any similar stories and was hoping someone here may have something worth sharing. Thank you in advance for any insight or knowledge. I hope you all have a wonderful weekend!

Hi Remy and Miranda, welcome. Your future posts won't need approval so post away.

I'm sorry that Remy and you are facing this situation. Sounds like he had the amputation already right? How is he doing?

It's not the first time that a chondrosarcoma tumor has been mistaken for osteosarcoma. Many members have been in your situation. A quick forms search came up with these examples, I hope some will be helpful.

We have time for long stories! That's why we are here. Tell us more about Remy!

Jerry's links should give you some insight into others  who have dealt with this.  And while jomkne wants to be on this journey, it does sound like Remy is having a bit of "better" luck with her diagnosis. 😎

Would love to here more about Remy, how her recovery  has been, etc.  Sounds like she's already  sailed through the hard part and gettin  on woth veing Remy👍

Hugs
