Ohhhhhh Amanda, we're just so sorry. It's such a heartbreaker for all of us when a Tripawd gets their wings. When it happens prematurely it's even more tragic. My deepest condolences to you. Both of you fought so hard.
May Brandy's eternal spirit be bright and shiny in the galaxy, always young and playful, and in our hearts.

My heart breaks for you Amanda. You did everything you could and could not have done more. Vaccine associated sarcoma is a wicked, unrelenting form of cancer and you fought hard.Â

Oh Amanda I'm so very, very sorry that Brave Brandy had to head to the Bridge. We've all followed her journey hear and we've cheered for every victory and sighed over every new hurdle.
You did EVERYTHING POSSIBLE for Brandy, and she knew it! She also knew you would release her from a body that no longer served her when she told you she was ready. She told you and you listened.
I just went back and read every single post you and Bra dy made. One thing that stood out was that you did, indeed, have some good quality time with Bra dy. You jad snuggling time in the sofa, you jad lots of purring time, you jad times where she was her feisty self and followed you into the bathroom. I hope you hold onto those precious moments, as well as all the precious moments you and she shared over the years.
You have some rough times ahead. The void will seem unbearable at first. It will even get worse before it gets better. Your bond will NEVER be broken though! NEVER! The happy memories WILL start to push the sadness away. We all can promise you that.
We can srlso promise you thrst precious Brandy will NEVER be forgotten here! We don't forget Warriors, and Brandy clearly is a Warrior...as are you!!! Sje certainly had determination and spunk. She also loved being with you and getting all your loving attention!
We areso privileged to get to know you and Brandy. You both had such an inspirational story to share. You never gave up. When you knew Brandy was ready to head to the Bridge, your love for her was strong enough to give her the selfless gift of release.
We all look fforward to hearing more about your "doggy" cat when you can. She, and you, are our family furever and our journey with Brandy still continues , even though she is in energy form now.
Yes, we cry with you tonight. We also celebrate the life of an amazing kitty who showed us how to make the best out of anythe life throws our way!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Well, I do have some good news on Brandy.Â
She made a huge impact on her vet.Â
The vet she goes to no longer does the feline leukemia shot on indoor only cats. (They still do it on indoor/outdoor and outdoor only cats.)Â
The other vets at the clinic now go by this as well.Â
It used to be no matter if your cat was always indoor, indoor/outdoor, or always outdoor, they would do the feline leukemia shot. And if you had more than one indoor only cat, they would do the feline leukemia shot on each cat.Â
But now no matter how many indoor only cats you have, they won't do that shot if your cats stay indoor only.Â
I'm so glad Brandy's vet made this new rule because of Brandy! 💜Â
Too bad it came down to this, but I'm so glad that she made a huge impact! 💜Â
Now THAT is one helluva' legacy!!!
Talk about living a life of meaning and with a life altering mission...way to go Brandy!! You've had an impact on sooo many levels!!
We always talk abput signs and reconnecting with our furbabies when they head to the Bridge. Brndy just sent you a HUGE message she is still with you in a massive way!
I think the Vets at her Clinic need to call it BRANDY's LAW! 🙂

Oh god. I'm so sad, and so sorry to read this. I hope you're holding up okay. Brandy was so lucky to have such a champion and was such a chipper fighter herself. I echo what everyone else has said, and just add my own tears and empathy to the lot. The fact that you're finding silver linings (and the change in your vet's policy is definitely a big one!) is a testament to your strength. I think we'll all squish our babies a little extra and think of Brandy when we do.Â
I'm so sorry, Amanda. You did everything you possibly could to help your beautiful Brandy and your recognition that it was time to let her go is a final testament of the love and selflessness which was at the heart of your relationship. The vet's change of policy is a phenomenal tribute to Brandy and to you. What an incredible impact to have had. How many cats' lives will Brandy have saved!
This is such a hard and heartbreaking time.

Also Angel Tripawd Meg (aka The Megastar), who died in April 2023, aged 14, after seven glorious years on three, and Angel Staffies Pie and Bille. In the pawprints of giants...
Brandy's story will save many cats lives now! She is working behind the scenes 😉

Here's a pic of Brandy and her favorite toy, which is a shoe string. The shoe string came on a duck call for the Duck Ride in Branson, MO. Brandy is named after Branson, MO. Which is a great place to visit for vacation. 🙂Â
This is pretty much the only toy Brandy played with. She wasn't much into cat toys.Â
She did like water bottle lids, golf balls, and chewing on plastic. 🙂Â
Brandy loved to lay on her back. I think I held her too much like a baby when I first got her! 😉Â
