I just thought I'd stop in and give an update on Lacey. She is doing fabulous, I think she forgot she only has 3 legs because it still isn't slowing her down a bit. She's bothering our cats and horses,, chasing our chickens and just enjoying her life on 3 legs. I do have a few videos and pics but I still can't figure out how to post them! If anyone can help?
Hi Lacey! First of all---sorry---I am of NO use as far as photos etc. Go but I know others will spchime in who are.
Just reviews your posts and so glad Lacey is doing well:-) Those vets who first worked on her were soooooo off base and I'm glad you hung o. and let Lacy recover I to a happy, vibrant girl!!
Look forward to pictures. Love photos:-)
Take care Lacy! Your Mom sure is proud of you and rightfully so:-)

That's great news about Lacey. i'm glad she's doing well.
Do you have something like a flickr or photobucket photo account? Did you start a tripawds blog? You need to have a site that will "host" your photo. Basically you post it there and then link to it for here. Facebook will work too.
Once you have your photo on some sort of a web page click on the tree image that's above the white box you write in. The past the url from where your photo is.
it's similar with video. To post video I had to get a youtube account which is free. I upload to youtube and then I click on the film strip that's beside the tree.
Does that help? I will try to remember to come back and see if you have questions.
Yesss! We need great news like this around here, especially this week, so THANK YOU for letting us know that life is good for your pack.
Chris, you are awesome for explaining the directions, thank you. Here's a post about adding images to your posts, I hope this helps. Let us know. Can't wait to see pix!

Lacey, Lacey' Lacey!!!! What a beautiful girl you are with just about one of the sweeeeeeetest mugs in the world!! Beautiful!!
But what's even MORE beautiful is seeing you run with exuberance and joy that matches no other:-)
Whatever your momma's feed I g you.....package it up and sell it!! No, not for the dogs-----for all the parents of tripawds:-)
I actually watched it a couple of times and read the little stage line a couple of times to make sure this was AFTER surgery!!
Ecstatically happy for you:-)
Thanks for sharing the joy, Sally and Happy Hannah

Here is another video of her playing with our other dog, Carl.
We have tried and tried to get Lacey to gain weight but she just won't get any heavier. Our vet thinks its probably not a bad thing considering she is on 3 legs. She is FULL of energy so we try to always be with her when she is loose because she definitely does not know when to slow down! As you can see if this video, most of the time she is the instigator and totally loves her life!!
And, I'm so happy I've figured out how to post my own pics/videos!! Thanks you!!!
We're hoppy you figured it out too because Lacey is a pure joy to watch!
We agree with your vet; keeping a Tripawd leaner than 4-leggers is very smart. Oftentimes what most people consider "too skinny" for a dog is just right. Most people get so used to seeing dogs with too much weight on them, they forget what dogs really should look like. Especially for a Tripawd, it's critical to be lean. As long as your vet is aware of her weight and thinks she's OK, that's terrific!
What a bundle of energy. How fun!

Wow Lacey!! I think you could have beat Orb this weekend with that speed. She looks absolutely Mah-velous!
Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.
Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
Thanks everyone. We are so happy with how she has done with everything. She's very upset right now though, our other dogs are trail riding with my boyfriend and she is not allowed to go because she chases deer, which is a bigggg no no!!! Here are a few more pics because its so easy to do!
I'm so hopppy you found posting pics to be easy. And what GREAT pics!!!! Love them!!!! How did you do the illustrated one? I think every Tripawd will want one of those pics!
Feel free to share as many as you'd like.
I'm glad Lacey isn't out there chasing deer. Silly girl!

Oh my gosh.....how can this get any cuter?? Peg leg?? Yet another confirmation of what a distorted sense of humor we tripawd people have:-)
Thanks for snaring the joy. ...... Here I'm worried because my Happy Hannah is overweight and your worried about being too skinny! As fast as that dog runs now could she possibly have an ounce of fat???
So glad all is going great! Sally and Happy Hannah
