Hi guys, sorry that I have been gone so long but my mommy had to fly to Puerto Rico to see my grandma which is not doing too well. I'm sorry that I have missed lots of news and the chance to wish all of you a Happy 4th. As for me I am still doing great and feeling good. My bloodwork from Monday came back and all is well so next week I go for my last chemo. YIPEEEE....If I don't write as much is because my mommy is going through a difficult time and someone has to keep licking her face to cheer her up. but know that I always think about all of you and wish that Charlie Brown would let us know how he is doing since his surgery. Has anyone heard about him? Jer, my pawrents bought an RV so maybe I will get to travel as much as you do. Lots of licks, Kellie

Guys, I thought that I was heading for chemo next week but my pawrents reminded me that it is the week of the 21st. I completely forgot that now I have 4 wks in between to make sure that my cbc are were they need to be. It has been some lazy summer days around here. It has been very hot and humid so I like to go out and play but not for long. I cannot wait for the weekend now that my Mom is back and maybe go swimming. I had a crazy dream the other night where I had to go and try body wigs (yeah like if they make those) as I was trying to worry that my hair was not growing back...but hold and behold my Mommy tells me how beautiful my hair is growing back...phew, I was starting to get worried over here. It is nice to chat with all of you again. Hope everyone is doing great and lots of lickies your way!!!

Body wigs....that's funny!
Hmmm, maybe there's a market for that . . . 😉

YIPEEEE!!!! I am happy to announce that today I had my last chemo, woof woof.....I am doing very well and for the past 2 sessions I was getting a bit sick after the chemo but today I am doing mawvelous. No pucking and I am happy as I can be. The vet told my Dad that no more chemo is needed just need to go every other month to get chest x-ray and make sure it has not spread or come back. LIFE IS GRAND AND I AM BEAUTIFUL!!!! I cannot ask for more. My health is good, I am doing great being a tripod, I have the energy of a young'n and I am loving life. I want to thank all of you for your support and advice. Especially you, Jerry, and your pawrents. Without this site my Mom and Dad would have had a much harder time making decisions. Your site made it so much easier for them to decide what to do, change my eating habits and spoil me rotten.
By the way, Jer, remember about the RV...well I LOVE IT!!! My pawrents just got it a couple of weeks ago so we really have not had the chance to go ridis in it on a "true" trip but as soon as my Dad brought it home, my Mom got all of us kids (yep all 3 of us) in so that we could sniff all the new scents and claim our spots. Well duh huh, since I had my surgery 3 months ago I had not had to climb stairs (my home is a ranch) so it took me a few minutes to figure out how to get up to the RV. My pawrents helped me out and now I do really good going up but coming back down is still kind of scary and challenging. But so far so good!!!! Cannot wait until we go on a true adventure. My Mom is thinking of having my Dad build me a little ramp to make it easier for me.
LOVE ALL OF YOU AND THANKS FOR BEING THERE FOR US!!!!
Kellie
Oh Kellie, that is AWESOME! You are over the worst part. It's fun, fun, fun from here on out. We are so hoppy to hear about how well you are doing, thanks for the update.
You know it's stories like yours that make coping so much easier for pawrents who first hear the words "bone cancer." Thank you from the bottom of our hearts for sharing your journey.
And speaking of journeys, where's your first trip gonna be? How exciting! You know, we used to sleep on the ground, in a tent, before we got the RV. Man, I hated that. Never got a cushy bed and we were squeezed in the tent like sardines. Now I got my big bad 5th wheel and I'm living the high life! No more hard ground for my bones!
Yes, RV stairs are steep, especially if you park on an uneven spot. Mom and Dad never let me go outside and down the stairs unless they have a grip on me. Thank Dog for the harness, it helps me with those steep stairs at least ten times a day!
Send us photos of you and the RV, we'd love to see them.
xoxo

You know it is soooo nice to have such good friends. This site and all the wonderful tripawds that I have met through it have made my journey so much easier. Not only for me but also for my pawrents. There are really no doggie words that can explain how much I love all of you eventhough we have never met...go figure. As for my RV trip I think one of the first trip is going to be to Memphis to see Elvis! My dad works for FedEx in Memphis so I think we are going to take the RV there for a few days and stay with him for a little bit. After that I hear my Mom talking about all these trips she wants us to take....Route 66, then Interstate 10 on the south side but to tell you the truth I don't care which route we take as long as I get to go ridis and leave my "mark" everywhere. I AM READY! I do know also about sleeping in one of those tents, Jer. When we went camping it was tent for us also and usually I took over my Mom's sleeping bag, so then we got an air mattress that would fit in the tent and that was better but after getting the two brothers, boy it was sardine time also....so the RV is like the high life. I will make sure to tell my pawrents to send you some pictures so that you can post them. Again and again, thanks for all the support and LETS KEEP ON TRUCKING!!!! (boy not very ladylike is it...oh well.)

Indeed. I love my comfy home on wheels! No more sleeping on the ground for me!. Except when my people get nostalgic for the old days and we take a side trip with the tent. But that's only happened once so far. Thank Dog.
I'll never forget the time we went on one of our back country packing trips and it got so cold I climbed inside my skin dad's sleeping bag. I was a lot smaller then, but it was sardine time indeed!
