Hello, I am a volunteer for a rescue. I was lucky to have this darling one year old Pitt come stay with me after his surgery. He had been carrying a damaged limb for at least of month that we know about, sitting in a shelter, and about to be euthanized, when our organization saw him and rescued him.  It's been 3 weeks and he is doing great. He is very afraid of strangers and cars and blows up easily when we are on walks if a stranger walks by, loud noises, or busy car traffic. He must have been hit by a car plus not walked. My fear is he will get out of his harnass and bolt and get hit again,  because this 4 legged harnass just doesn't work. So we walk in the evening at 9pm when no one is out and in a quiet area, so he is safe.  But I would love to expose him more to the scary things and build his confidence,  so he is ready for his new forever home with no chance of being returned.

Would any of you have a used tripawd harnass you can sell me? I would love to hear from you.  I would soooooooo appreciate it. He is 38 pounds and his chest/girth is 26". I have been job hunting for awhile, so I am struggling a little bit presently. Otherwise I would buy the ones on the site. Love this guy.  If you can help, awesome! Thanks so much. smiley

Welcome and bless you for saving this guy, what's his name?

FYI: There are no Tripawd-specific harnesses. What type are you using? The most popular harness we recommend is the Ruff Wear Webmaster which works well for assisting three legged dogs as needed.

If you're looking for a harness someone might be able to donate, please post in the Tripawds Angel Exchange forum.

If you're trying to find this guy a new home, be sure to post details and rescue contact info in the Tripawds Rescue Forum.
