Munchkin is doing so well. When we took him to the vet Doc took off the bandage and was surprised that there was very little drainage and that the swelling had gone down. He did not replace the bandage, Doc said it did not need one.
I asked him about phantom pain and he said Munchkin probably would not have any as he fixed the nerves somehow. He explained it, but I guess in one ear and out the other.

Oh that is so good to hear!! Glad Munchkin is going so well.

The vet that did Rileys front leg said he did something to the nerves too so she didn't have any phantom pain either....

I haven't a clue to what he said though....It was right after surgery and I was in a bit of a fog.....

I understand that, they talk to you about all this stuff and all I see is my happy puppy being himself. I remember just 4 days ago and the fear of him going into surgery. I am very glad that part is behind us. Now we just have the healing and recovery and come Monday no more stitches..

Love hearing such a young pup is doing so well.  I'm thinking Munchkin will adapt extremely well.

Great news! Oh that would be fantastic if he didn't have phantom pain . Not all dawgs do. But if you suspect he is, here's an article about it.

Yay Munchkin!
