Our  dog Remy has been diagnosed with Lymphoma. We are waiting to hear if it is type B or T to determine treatment. Can anyone share there experience with chemo and predisone?

Hi Remy & family, welcome. Your future posts won't require approval.

I'm sorry to hear you're dealing with cancer. Most folks here are dealing with some type of bone cancer (which is why their dog or cat required an amputation), but I know lots of members have dealt with other cancers like lymphoma. I'm hoping they will be able to give you some sage advice there, since I don't have any experience with it.

Thank you for joining, we're here to help however we can and look forward to hearing more about Remy.

I have treated many lymphoma dogs with the Madison (Wisconsin) chemo protocol and most do very well.  Average survival is 1-2 years with a pretty good quality of life.  If you only do prednisone the average survival is 2-6 months.

I have cured 2 dogs one of which had T cell lymphoma so don't let tumor type be your only deciding factor.
