Just thought I'd mention a tip that we've found helpful as both my boys battle osteo. We give them a nightly treat of pain yogurt mixed with whey we buy from a local store, and I swear it has been amazing in helping ward off diarrhea and such from chemo and Palladia. It's quite pricey at the store (homemade), so we started making our own with a yogurt machine with organic whole milk and a starter of organic whole plain yogurt. Enjoy!

Thanks for the great tip!  Especially  good to know for dogs who are on Palladia,  because tummy/poop issues can arise sometimes.

You might have a new side job career!  Yum!

Hugs

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

I love that tip! Thank you so much for sharing this, it's a new one to me.

Be sure to keep us posted elsewhere on how the boys are doing. We are cheering them on!

Good tip...when my Dobe wouldn't eat for 7 days following his amp surgery, the only way we could get his meds in him was to spoon yogurt down his throat.

I give Mitchell organic plain Greek yogurt regularly. I alternate that with cottage cheese. He eats them both well and a lot less fighting him to eat. I have never tried whey, will have to look that up.

I generally mix either with his food and he loves it. No diarrhea, nor constipation. He's put good weight back on and combined with his cbd and joint supplements, he seems much happier.

Thank you for the tip, i will def look up the whey. Too bad it's not the curds, lol... i have that too make milk and water kefir.

That's interesting that so many critters are doing so well when eating dairy products. I always thought that it would give most animals runny poop. Whatever works right?!
