Oh sweet golden girl Westley. You are dearly missed. Thank you for all you did to make us smile, to inspire so many, and even help science figure out how to stop cancer. You were, and always be, a superstar. Love you always sweet pup. sp_hearticon2

We are saying goodbye to Baby Girl tomorrow at 3:00 pm. Everything just started happening and went from normal…. and then out if nowhere she was suddenly showing signs that something is wrong….and then she immediately began declining rapidly getting worse each day. Her lung mets that we tried to prepare for to finally happened was worse than what we anticipated. It snuck up fast and hit her so hard that it caused various health issues right away and kept adding more by the day with fevers, HO, lethargy and too tired and legs were too swollen and hot to get up. She lost her quality of life within a few short days. So this morning I made sure to act fast and everything got arranged for her to pass tomorrow while she’s still able to leave this life peacefully while comfortable in her own home, in her favorite bed that’s placed on her favorite spot on the deck….that over looks the beach which has always been her favorite place ever. They gave her 9 months, she almost made it to 12. We chose to fight when diagnosed last august and push through so we’re able to spend more quality time together. She was amputated in November and beat a lot of odds with her age, size and health while even harder with losing her front leg and made it through chemo with grave. We were able to get the time we worked so hard for and so grateful for the gift of our wonderful time we had left and so thankful I chose to amputate and do the chemo path. I have zero regrets and so proud of how hard we worked and fought and won for her chance to get more quality of life she deserved.

As hard as this is to do, you are giving sweet BabyGirl the gift of release  surrounded by love and in the peace of her own home.

We KNOW your heart is break I to a million pieces and ours break with you. Yet, you are enlightened enough to k ow you did every ppssible fpr your girl and you did, indeed, extend  her quality  time beyond " expectations ". We always say "statistics " dont Kean much around here and Baby Girl is proving that.

And to add to her legacy, she's more proof that bigger gals,  "mature" gals can handle three like a Champ!  And BabyGirl definitely  is a Champion here with us!!!  She will forever inspire  newbies with hope and a knowing of what's possible,  regardless of size or age.

When you can give a dog extended  quality  time for more loving and spoiling and lounging overlooking the beach and blow statistics  out of the water.....that is a victory over this brutal disease!!!

Well done BabyGirl!! Well done!!!

We'll be holding you in our hearts tomorrow.  We'll be right beside you with our energy sending love and peace.

Love and light

Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!

PS.  When you are up tp it, we would love to see pictures of your sweet girl.  I'm going to PM (private message) you my email.  If you send me some photos it would be my honor to post them for you.

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

My heart goes out to you, I'm sooo sorry she got her wings. Thank you for letting us know.

It's very clear you went above and beyond and made sure she did not suffer. No animal could ever ask for more. Helping her transition into her new journey is a difficult thing to do but to be able to do that with such love and devotion is an incredible gift.

Please know we are here for you always. If you are up to it, post a tribute in Coping with Loss so we can honor her life.

Our entire community is keeping a candle lit in our hearts for Baby Girl. sp_hearticon2sp_hearticon2sp_hearticon2
