We just wanted to take a moment and pay tribute to Havannah Jack.
We received this photo after investigating an anonymous contribution this morning. It's always heartwarming to receive acknowledgemt for our efforts to maintin this community. But this generous contribution came from an unknown source. After looking into it further we received this kind reply ...
My friend ... had a tripawd Husky, Havannah Jack, (pic attached) and she finally succumbed to cancer yesterday at age 5. John said that your site really helped him and his wife, when they had to amputate Havannah's limb. I thought I'd make a donation in her name, just to help remember her.
Many thanks to Reverend Coleman, and heartfelt condolences to John and Kim.

Hi,
Havanna was my dog, we lost her yesterday. I made her final post at a blog I started when all this began. http://www.doga.....tation.com Thanks very much to Tomkin and Julie for the generous donation and wishes. Thanks much to this site as well, it was one of the first resources we found when we first discovered her Osteosarcoma last fall.
Havanna was my best buddy, a true hang around dog. She was a champ through all the chemo and radiation and pills. She always made many friends at the hospital and was an excellent protector for when I was out of town. She saved my wife from a thief trying to come through a front window of ours. Despite everything she always looked at us with a trusting soft face and big brown eyes. It's very quiet at our house now.
Thanks again everyone for everything. It's great to have people and places like this.
Oh my. She is absolutely gorgeous. A beautiful tribute to a fine lady. I am very sorry for your loss.
RIP sweet Havannah Jack. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Oh John, this is such tragic news. We have been following her blog and hoping that things would turn around. Our hearts go out to you and your wife, we are so very sorry.
Our Spirit Jerry and all the other Tripawds who have gone before are there, welcoming your beautiful girl with open paws. Her fighting, beautiful spirit will live on forever.

Debra & Angel Emily
Debra & Emily, a five year old doberman mix, who was diagnosed with an osteosaecoma. She had a right rear leg amputation on May 19, 2009. On November 10, 2009 she earned her wings and regained her fourth leg.
Such a sweet and beautiful girl...my heart goes out to you and I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful contribution too...that is so touching. Havannah was obviously a very special girl to many people. Our thoughts and prayers are with you.
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
Dear John....I am deeply sorry for your loss. I just lost my dog a week ago and know perfectly well how you feel, the quiteness in my home is killing me. But I am sure your girl is now watching over you with her brown eyes and running free and painless.
My prayers are with you

Dear John,
Words from strangers may not be of too much comfort. But please know that your pain is felt by each and everyone here that has lost a fur baby. We are deeply sorry for your loss of Havannah Jack. She sounded like a spectacular girl with a beautiful face.
I did also want to say how sorry I feel for not ever seeing your blog. I wished I had met your sweetie pie.
I had to post this darling puppy picture of her so we can all see how adorable she was. I hope you don't mind - but it is just so heart warming:
Your friend's generous gift to the tripawd site is so thoughtful, too. We are all touched. Contributions are always so needed to help maintain the cost of the site and our wonderful admins work tirelessly without outside help or monetary gain.
So, please take care of yourself and know we are here to help support you through your loss.
My deepest condolences,
Comet's mommy
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
We're so sorry to hear of your loss. Havanna Jack looks like a sweet and beautiful girl. We're keeping you in our thoughts and hearts, and hoping that Havanna Jack is running pain free at the rainbow bridge with lots of tripawd friends.
Lots of hugs,
Holly and Holly's mom
Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

John and Kim,
I'm so sorry to hear about Havannah Jack... I know how devastated you are feeling... My hubby and I lost our sweet golden angel Jake a little over 5 months now... but it seems like just yesterday he was still here with us. Jake only made it 8 weeks past his amputation... as that nasty cancer had spread to his spine. In the 2 months after his amputation, he had a good and happy life, got to play and snuggle with us and his brother Wolfie... and swim in the pool... his favorite thing to do, besides being a couch potatoe. We don't regret doing the surgery one bit, we just wished that he had been with us a little longer... We also found this site when Jake was diagnosed, and after reading everyone's experiences, and discussing with all our vet friends, we made the decision to amputate. It was either that or put Jake to sleep (he had fractured his leg and that's how he was diagnosed). I don't know how we could have made it through this difficult journey without all their incredible support.
I just read your blog about Havannah Jack... She was so beautiful... and you were both such very loving parents. Now your sweet white angel is running pain-free in heaven... Thank you so much for sharing her story with us!
My thoughts and prayers are with you both...
Angel Jake's Mom
Jake, 10yr old golden retriever (fractured his front right leg on 9/1, bone biopsy revealed osteosarcoma on 9/10, amputation on 9/17) and his family Marguerite, Jacques and Wolfie, 5yr old german shepherd and the newest addition to the family, Nala, a 7mth old Bengal mix kittie. Jake lost his battle on 11/9/2009, almost 8 weeks after his surgery. We will never forget our sweet golden angel… http://jakesjou.....ipawds.com ….. CANCER SUCKS!
Thanks again everyone. Thanks to that amputation we had a great time for most of the time we had left with her. I have no idea if any of the chemo or radiation extended her time with us but the amputation deffinetly gave her back her spirit for what life she had left with us. We had some excellent experiences in that time that we'll always remember.
