Such a sweeeet pocture!   That's not the day you brought him home from the hospital, is it?  If so, he doesn't look like he just had major surgery and he doesn't look doped up at all!!

David, do NOT give one second's thought to trying to be on here.  It is hard to be here when your grief is so raw.  Actually, most people aren't able to come back,or only check in every now and then.  And we understand completely!!!

And make no mistake about it, you and Rocky have already made an etrrnal impact here!  Youve showed everyone what a fighting spirit looks like and you've shown us why dirty, slimy  green tennis balls are much better than new ones.....maybe even better than Frosty Paws! 🙂   Really, you have helped others in ways you'll never even realize.   And Rocky's journey will ALWAYS be here to inspire others and show everyone what quality looks like!   You gave Rocky such great extra bonus time and that's why we do what we do.

Lots of hugs....and are the pennies still coming?  Perhaps he's sending more hints that he has a dog lined up for you?

Thank you.

Jackie, you're absolutely not overstepping your boundaries. Thank you for input. It means a lot to me.

Sally, yup, that photo was on the drive home the day after his amputation. He kind of crashed a few hours after that, but I still remember him rolling his ball to me, like he wanted to play, later that night. He was so much stronger than his daddy it isn't funny. And yup, I found two more pennies last week.

I ordered a Cuddle Clone of him a while back. It's supposed to get here tomorrow. I'm hoping it looks like him. I'll post a picture tomorrow night

I think it looks pretty dang good.

Oh, and when I set him down, he doesn't put much weight on his right front leg, which seems appropriate.

David, I love Rocky's Cuddle Clone ! The pictures you share of him make me super emotional...his love for you radiates so brightly that it's clear he adored every moment with you. Even on the ride home from the hospital, I can see that he was nothing but psyched to be with you again. Nine months ago, you committed to the best possible life for your precious boy, and even though that time was too short, Rocky knew he had the very best life with you.

I loved life as a tripawd for over three years following right forelimb amputation due to an aggressive and recurrent hemangiopericytoma. I reclaimed my place among the gods and valkyries in Valhalla on November 11th, 2020. My parents miss me tremendously, but I know they'll keep me in their hearts forever... and don't worry, I've approved my mom's use of my Tripawds account.

Wow! It looks so much like him David! They did a great job smileyI have never heard of a Cuddle Clone either, what a great idea! I have had to look at it 3 times now, lol. You know he is looking down at his papa and smiling now heart I am going to ditto what Brittnie said, Rocky's life here was way too short, but even in that short life he had love that some animals (and people) never get to experience. Sending hugs your way!

Wow! I've seen those Cuddle Clones before and wondered how accurate they were. Now I know, that's pretty amazing and so sweet! I'll bet Rocky is so happy to see you smile when you hug that little clone. Adorable!

I'm a day late, but yesterday (the third) marked three months since Rocky went to the Bridge.

Still strange to see Baxter sit in spots where Rocky was just a few months ago.

Hi David

yeah, Baxter is keeping Rocky’s place warm for when he comes to visit! Keep him close to your heart David, it will always seem strange, but as long as you keep loving him like you do, he will always be with you!

All the very best from Petra & Gang heart

Just curious if Rocky sent you any pennies in the past few days?  He's probably been pretty busy at the Bridge decorating green tennis balls for their Christmas tree ornaments.

I DO think Rocky sends you his presence by telling Baxter where his favorite places were ro rest.  Baxter sought out Rocky's spot from day one.  That's a pretty special sign in my world!

{{{hugs}}} David. Three months is so short, hardly any time at all. I'll bet Rocky knew you were thinking of him and sending tons of love. We are too, Angel Rocky! You're always with us, angelversary or not.

Honoring his angelversary is one way to take a minute, paws and reflect on things, to express gratitude for all the great things animals do for us without even knowing they're doing it. They truly are gifts from above.

I read this yesterday and had to think for a minute. All of you have this wonderful gift of remembering this kind of stuff. My brain works a little different when I am grieving. My heart holds on, my brain erases. My Rosie has been gone for about 5 years now I guess.. yes I could go to her urn and look but my heart doesn't want to. I have a little cabinet with all of my babies ashes. When I go, they will all go with me, but I am deviating, sorry. My point that I am having such a tough time making here.. 3 months is NOTHING. It is enough time to work on getting some of your life back in order, but in matters of the heart it is the blink of an eye. If you love Rocky even close to how I love my Rosie ( and I do believe that you do ), that love will last forever. If you can, remember one thing please. Even though it hurts, you have experienced a love that some people never get to have. That, my friend, is a true blessing and privilege 🙂

Now... with that said... where did you hide all of the new pictures?? Huh, huh? I need a link here... smile 🙂

Huckleberry and his clan heart

Two "anniversaries" today.

If my math is right, it's been 100 days since Rocky went to the Bridge. And it was 11 months ago that his limping started up again, this time for good. I had absolutely no idea what we were in store for 11 months ago.

Sally: It's been a few weeks since I've found any pennies. I had a dream last night that I went to my car and found about a dozen pennies around it. Very strange. I still have yet to actually dream about Rocky though.

Rene: I absolutely agree with you. My mom took Baxter to my parents house tonight, so I took advantage of the time alone to just reflect about Rocky tonight.

Jackie: Pictures of Rocky or Baxter? There's a bunch of Rocky on his original thread here: http://tripawds.....ory/rocky/. I'm about to post one of Baxter on his thread. I've been slacking on taking pictures of him.

Hello again David

lovely to hear from you, as always...

Time is such a funny thing heh?! I totally get what your saying... it’s been only six months since Stewie started his hoppy journey, (and I’m not taking of the happy part of the journey...) changing our lives furever! It all seems like a dream now, even to me and we are still so very fortunate to have our big boy with us.

Every day is a hope and a prayer and I think that you honouring Rocky like you do, ensures that he will always be by your side. His hope for you, I’m sure is to keep moving forward, with your darling boy to be constantly in your prayers! That enables the opening of your heart for him to always be there!

Hehehehe... there’s only so many pennies Rocky can find for you these days... he thinks he may have to check the museums next! Dreaming of lots of pennies is much better than finding one?!

looove the pictures of Rocky! He really was madly in love with you wasn’t he?!

All the very best David and take good care of yourself.

Ok slacker... Lol you gave me a reason to use one of my favorite jabs 💛 lead the way to the pictures.  I need to see more of your new friend. It doesn't have to be tonight. You and I are different, in the most respectable of ways. I had to stop dating the past, it was killing my soul. You are still counting the days. Whatever you do, please don't ever try to compare the two, or your new friend will lose every time. If you can find it in your soul,  stop comparing. Maybe Rocky was telling you something in that dream.  All those pennies at once, you have a gift. Look with an open heart, and appreciate the differences. If they were too similar you would always compare. Trust me, I have walked down this road. Rosie will always be in my heart. So will my others. I never had another orange tabby because of my Falcor. If you can always love what you have had the privilege of having, and accept the the privilege of what you have in the future you will be ok. Look for the differences and celebrate your new rescue. He will thank you for it. This is hard for me to type, and it comes from the deepest part of my soul. I probably tripped over my words (or lack of good verbiage) trying to blunder through what's in my heart. I hope you get it the right way. You're a wonderful caretaker. I think (hope) you know I am trying to do a good thing here. I pray you find your way, I really think Rocky is wanting you to be happy.

With the utmost respect,

Jackie ❤❤
