I lost my buddy yesterday.

Rocky was 2 days shy of being a 34 month cancer survivor. In the end, it was not cancer that took him from me and for that I am grateful. His back legs just weren't cooperating any longer due to degenerative myelopathy. He was still able to get up and down and hop around a bit, but he was tired and he gave me a look yesterday that said "mom, it's time".

There will never be another dog like Rocky. Rest in peace sweet boy, mommy loves you.

What a handsome boy he was. We are sorry to hear of your loss. Thank you for sharing your story because I worry about Chloe's one remaining back leg and the beginning signs of arthritis.  Our thoughts are with you at this time.

-Nicole and Chloe

Chloe became a rear amp tripawd on 7-29-10. Another tumor was removed on front leg 2-20-14. Found 3rd tumor on neck 2-2015, but she's still kicking cancer's butt at age 14. Chloe's blog

We are so sorry for your loss. I always loved Rockys avatar. May fond memories of Rocky bring you comfort.

Spirit Samson was Spirit Tripawd Daisys four legged "brother" and ruled as the self proclaimed head of the Monkeybutt Federations East Coast Division. Lady Chunky Monkey stayed from Oct 2011 and left for the bridge in Apr 2012. Miss Perdy is left and has some big pawprints to fill.

What a gorgeous photo of him.  He was one of the ones we all looked up to-- a true cancer survivor.  I am so sorry for your loss, but I, too, am grateful that the cancer did not win this time around.  Rocky won.  Thinking of you as you grieve for your beautiful boy, now a beautiful spirit, running free with all the others.

Oh, I'm so sorry to this sad news about Rocky. He was always such a handsome boy, and such an inspiration. We know how hard this all is. When we end their pain, ours begins. I hope you have peace knowing you gave him that last, selfless gift of releasing him when he let you know he'd had enough.

Thinking of you. Run pain free, Rocky!

Jackie, Angel Abby's mom

Abby: Aug 1, 2009 – Jan 10, 2012. Our beautiful rescue pup lived LARGE with osteosarcoma for 15 months – half her way-too-short life. I think our "halflistic" approach (mixing traditional meds + supplements) helped her thrive. (PM me for details. I'm happy to help.) She had lung mets for over a year. They took her from us in the end, but they cannot take her spirit! She will live forever in our hearts. She loved the beach and giving kisses and going to In-N-Out for a Flying Dutchman. I am so sorry for your loss. I just watched the video above . It was beautiful and had me in tears. "Nothing else matters".  Sums it up perfectly. That's what our beautiful furry friends teach us.  Thinking of you.

Magnum: 30th May 2002 to 5th May 2012. Lost her back left leg to osteosarcoma on 5th Sep 2011. Lung mets found on 20th Mar 2012 but it was bone mets in the hip that ended her brave battle. Magnum's motto - "Dream as if you'll live for ever, live as if you'll die today" (James Dean). Loyal, loving, courageous and spirited to the end. I am so sorry to hear that you lost your Rocky...  I'm glad that cancer didn't win this battle, but still, it's so hard to let them go regardless of the reason.  I hope that your memories of the love you shared with him will keep you going during the difficult days ahead.

Hugs to you,
