Hey Fortis,
If you happen to come upon a gentle, old soul who arrived just 2 days before you, her name is Samantha. For 19 years she gracefully, lovingly, orchestrated all the lives in her path. She patiently & without protest, accepted the many changes nearly two decades of life bring.
Please give her a big hug & kiss for us and let her know how terribly she is missed. Tell her how much better our lives were because she was here.
Look in on her from time to time, if you can. You'll probably find her napping in the sun.
Much love and gratitude,
Cynthia, Isabelle, Jake, Pete, Bug & Denali
Oh, Cynthia, what a beauty. I love orange cats (could be something about my red hair)! I am so sorry for your loss, but so happy Samantha led such a long and happy life. Wow 19 years is amazing. I'm sure she will give the spirit dogs a run for their money.
RIP sweet Samantha. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.

Wow, 19 years! Years ago I had a cat named Midnight who lived to be 19. She was a stray who walked into where my brother-in-law worked, and he scooped her up for me. I'm so sorry Samantha passed. But napping in the sun under Rainbow Bridge sounds like a pretty good place to be right now. She was a beautiful girl.
I know gentle Fortis will take great care of your beautiful Samantha.
Sweet girl, may you be a kitty forever. We love you!

I'm so sorry to hear of Samantha's passing. Your heart must be breaking. Having a furbaby for 19 years is a blessing but the loss must be even harder.
My deepest condolences,
Comet's mom
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.
Cynthia, I'm so sorry for your loss. Samantha was a beautiful friend and I know how much you must miss her. Fortis had two feline friends for most of his life. Their names were Wookie and Spook and we had them for 16 and 21 years respectively. They were Fortis' best house buddies. So I know Fortis will take good care of your sweet Samantha. I have this image of Fortis and three cats bathing in the warmth of the sun. How nice
We are very sorry to hear of your loss. Samantha looks so sweet. Even 19 years isn't long enough with our fur-babies!
We're quite sure that Spirit Skyler will be giving her plenty of exercise at the Bridge, as she has always wanted to chase after a kitty cat. Their coloring matches so well too!
Thank you all for the kind words of support. How humbling it has been to realize the impact such a tiny being can have, and what a void they leave behind. It is comforting to think of her among so many others who are also so loved & missed.
I'm happy to hear Fortis likes cats, because Samantha will surely be looking for her favorite sleeping spot.

Oh Cynthia,
I'm so sorry to read about your precious girl....the picture of Isabelle and Samantha is just so sweet beyond words. Not only is Fortis watching over her but I know that Mackenzie is too (and my cat named Vito.) So Samantha is in really good hands and you can feel very comforted knowing that all of our babies are together, looking after each other. Samantha obviously had a wonderful life and it's because of you that she did. She is a gift and blessing and isn't heaven so lucky now?
Thinking of you.
xoxo

My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
