We're so sorry to hear about Maggie.  She was and will continue to be such an inspiration to us.  My words feel so empty right now - but please know that you're all in our hearts and we wish you comfort and peace.

Sending lots and lots of hugs,

Holly, Zuzu and Susan

Holly joined the world of tripawds on 12/29/2009. She has a big little sister, Zuzu, who idolizes Holly and tries to make all of her toys into tripawds in Holly's honor. And she's enjoying life one hop at a time!

Karen and Tani,

I stare at a tear filled screen at words that I cannot comprehend. We all expected this spirit to make yet one more moraculous recovery. However, all I can do at this time is to ask you to accept our deepest sympathy. Both Emily and I were shocked to hear of the passing of this brave spirit. You have fought a fantastic fight with Maggie, gave her a wonderful life, and how found the courage and strength to release her from her worn body. You have been an extremely wonderful companion (I never say owner) for Maggie and the three of you have been blessed to be the team that we have had the privilege to know. You will never be totaly without Maggie, because the gifts that she gave you will live with you forever.

Thanks for being part of a very supportive TriPawdss community. I hope that you will find the strength to continue to support TriPawds for you and the pug girls have been an inpawration to many.

Through tears of sympathy for the tremendous loss,

Bob, Emily, Spirit Allie, and Spirit Cherry

Karen,

I am so sorry that the time came to say goodbye to Maggie.  She was such a survivor, she was an inspiration to Nova and we pray that Nova can have the quality of life and number of years that sweet Maggie had.  I smile when you say she is going from lap to lap, that is exactly what Nova (all 140 lbs of her) will be doing when she joins Maggie and the other Tripawds.

Thinking of you.  I wish you peace and comfort as you grieve your loss.

R.I.P.L. Maggie.  That's "Rest In Peaceful Laps."  Miss you.  Give Yoda a good sniff and/or lick for Gerry and I.

Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.

He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Videos and pics of Gerry's pawesomeness can be found at: http://gerry.tripawds.com

Thank you all for the kind words, love and support.  Tani and I are doing OK- I am drinking lots of extra water to compensate for the periodic tear showers.

I feel like writing about what things are like now, my thoughts and feelings, but it didn't seem right to do it in the forums.  And I didn't want to do it in Mag's regular blog page, I still have pictures to post there, and I want to keep that as a page about her life.

So I added a new page to our blog- called Missing Maggie.  I don't know how long I will post there, but it seems to me it will help me cope with the void that losing Maggie has caused.  And maybe it will help someone else, who knows.

Here is a pic of Mag with the Mag Tag I wrote about in an earlier forum post:

Thanks again to all, the support is invaluable!

PS- thanks to the forum gods for giving me single digit math problems for these last few posts wink

It's good to hear from you Karne. That's a great idea to start a page, it will not only help you but others who are in the same situation. Remember though that you can always talk about it here too if you feel like it OK?

Many hugs to you and Tani.

We are so sorry to hear about your loss Karen.  Once again I got down to Koda's level and whispered in his ear that we lost another one, and this time it was the Princess Pug Maggie.  Blog away, do whatever helps, get it out.  Sending you hugs from Australia,

Storm and Koda xoxo

Wow I just watched the video, over 3.5 years after diagnosis, what a champion Maggie was, taking it all in her stride.  Gives us all the hope we need, to know that she did it and had so many battles along the way.  3 cheers for Maggie and her inspirational story!!!
