I'm soooo very sorry for your loss. My tri-kitty just earned her wings on Monday, so I know all too well the pain and grief you are experiencing right now and wish it on no one. Sending all the love and light I can muster your way.

Tracy I am so so sorry. You did stop her pain, you gave her the last act of love you could give her. Sometimes letting them get their wings is the only way we can help them. You did everything you could for her, and she knows that. We all know that, and I hope you know that too. So many of us understand your pain, please lean on us, we're here for you.

Wiser words have never been said, you put it so well Sally, thank you.

Tracy,
I'm so sorry that you are having to experience this last piece of Bailey's journey on earth. Dealing with the grief of losing our beloved Tripawds is tough. My husband always asks me if he'll ever stop crying over having to let our Leland go. I don't know that we ever will stop shedding tears because this journey of amputation and illness is so intense and it binds us to our fur kids like nothing I've ever seen with a pet.
Just know that Bailey is totally free of pain now and she was greeted at the Bridge by all her Tripawd brothers and sisters. And know that she'll be waiting there for you when it's your time to crossover and then another journey will begin.
Please take time for yourself and be good to yourself...no guilt or what ifs. Also, stay connected to this community. It really helped me to manage my grief to reach out to others and lend support/advice. As Sally has told me many times I will carry on Leland's legacy and if our journey can help others there's no better way to honor him.
I'll be keeping you in my thoughts.

May you finally be healthy and running free at the Rainbow Bridge. Until we meet again my sweet boy!
My heart is aching for you, Tracy. Bailey knew how loved she was. So sorry for your loss.
(((big hugs)))
Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
Today was a rough day as you can all imagine... several packages arrived from the tri-pawd community, Supplements with a very sweet note to Bailey, a new harness that would not hurt her belly and a package from a wonderful friend Lori who sent me Butterfly Wildflower Seed Mix with the poem Butterfly Kisses (overnight).
Here's the poem if you're not familiar with it. Breaks my heart. I can't believe she's gone.
Thank you for sharing that Tracy and Lori.
Ya' know, itr funny how you can read s o mething at one point in your life, and read it at another point in your life, and the meanings you give it each time are completely different.
This really resonated today. Hold onto these precious sentiments Tracy.....and continue to hold ontonus.
I cannot imagine how unbelievably hard it was to get those packages in the mail today. I wish I coukd give it an emppwering meaning...but my mind draws a blank. Perhaps someone else can....this just had to be so hard.
As an aside, the link you sent me to vote...it said I wasn't signed in to AOL!! Say what??? And I must be doing something wrong on the link on the thread to the page to vote. Since I don't do facebook, it says I have to "register", and in order to register I have to give them my email, my address AND my password!! C razy! I may have to join facebooger so I can vote for our Bailey!
Sending you hugs....not just any hugs.....butterfly hugs!

I need all the support I can get. This is so unbelievably hard and I can't even begin to think about cleaning my carpet where her bed was.
Samthelab I hope you do find my Bailey girls she loves all dogs she loves to run with them and her big sister wears out to easy she's 10.
Jerry, that poem came with a packet of Butterfly Wildflower seeds... from a very sweet friend in Cypress Texas.
Love and tight hugs,
Tracy and Bailey
Tracy, you don't have to clean your carpet today or even next week. I still have not washed the fleece jacket I had on the last time I cradled Ty's head in my arms. And it is white. I know I need to do it eventually ,but it can wait for now. I know there is probably some of his hair under the couch in the sunroom, but I am not going to pull out the couch quite yet. I know it is hRd and there are moments that you wonder if and how you will get through it. You will and how I wish I could tell you it will be painless. It isn't as you are feeling. Just know that we are here for you. We are holding you up right now when you can't do it by yourself. Hugs from, Lori and TY
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
Yep...ditto Lori!
Ther is NO time frame for washing, moving, discarding, cleaning, etc. anything Bailey! The things I left untouched, unwashed, uncleaned.....geez! I "accidentally" washed one of her blankies the other day without thinking...it actually upset me a bit.
And Happy Hannah's bed is still right in front of the woodstove and her food bowl is still on the hearth. And it's been almost six months...seems like yesterday...seems like never.
So no, don't worry about cleaning a thing!
