On Jerry's Angelversary, I thought it would be a nice tribute to share what Jerry and his pawrents mean to us and/or a nice story/memory we have.  I wanted to share these photos I took of Jill reading Jerry's story when we had Barney visit.  It was important for me to read his story to her as Jerry, Jim, Rene and Wyatt have been such a HUGE part of our journey.  Without them, I honestly do not know how I would have gotten through the last 9.5 months.  Jerry's story continues to inspire us each and every day and he has been our greatest hero.  His legacy will live on and on through this website and what an amazing impact that is.  We all cry together, laugh together, support each other and that is all in honor of Jerry.

All our love forever,

Erica & Jill

Ohhhhhhhhh you are so, so sweet, thank you. The waterworks are running today but they are happy tears.

To have been through the cancer experience with Jerry, and then be surrounded by such amazing, thoughtful people as a result of it, well, nopawdy could ask for more in this world. Thank YOU all for turning something so heartbreaking into something beautiful.

When I first came to the site a little over 2 years ago, I was in shock and didn't know what to expect or do.  Jim and Rene welcomed me with open arms and guided me through the transition of Chili Dawg's amputation.  While we only got to have Chili Dawg for 3 short months, they were wonderful months, and the community that Jim, Rene, and Jerry created for us was & still is amazing.  When we sent Chili Dawg over the bridge the outpouring of love and support we received from everyone was wonderful and helped a lot.  That is one of my favorite memories- even though it makes me sad to think back about it, knowing that I had support from others means so much more.

One of my other favorite memories- last year at Christmas time, my husband contacted Jim and Rene about making a charm bracelet through their Etsy site for me.  When I opened it...I can't even describe what I felt.  It is beautiful and perfect!  Ryan said they emailed back and forth several times wanting to make sure that it was exactly what I would want and it was.

Diagnosed with OSA: 5/2/2011 Ampuversary: 5/11/2011 OSA returned in hip: 8/26/2011
Chili Dawg crossed the Rainbow Bridge on 8/30/2011 & is now pain free. He was my heart dog, and I miss him every day.

Love knows no time. It forever stays with us. The good times, the not so.

I know that I'm just one of so many that are thankful for both Jerry and his pawrents and what they've made here for us.

A place of support, sharing, love and yes, loss. But, a community where you can feel safe and free to express all your feelings; that all others here share the same level of love for our furrykids.

Thank you Jim and Rene for being here for me.

Even though my Kona Kai has been gone for closing on three years, being part of this community means a lot to me.

I still miss my girl and know that I always will....devil that she was!winker

And I love that I have this place and for all you good people here who know, really know what our journeys are like.

We have such shared experiences.

Others, who have not walked our path, just don't really know, do they?

Thank you Jerry for sending your pawrents on their journey to help so many...more than you'll ever know.

(((hugs))) and yes, shared tears on your day.

I thinks it is hard to pick just one moment.....Spirit Jerry aka Rene and admin aka Jim are always here to greet us at the beginning of this journey. Then they hold our hands and hearts through out it!

I know they make Jerry proud each and every day!

They open their brains to us and pass whatever knowledge to us. They open their hearts to us and celebrate our victories and cry with us when we feel defeated. They lend us their shoulders when we need to be supported.

Once, when I had hoped to travel for a shing ding in the park, they even offered to open their home to me.

They also were so supportive and wonderful about helping me get the MRSA message out there. Just one of many important missions of this site and tremendous work done here.

May you both be so very blessed for blessing us with the every day presence of Spirit Jerry!

As some already said - not one special moment, but a collection of so many. Mostly, I always feels so honored to live where Jerry crossed over the bridge and to know a little piece of his spirit remains here in the mountains. I'm pretty sure he was there to greet Shooter so they could talk about it all.

Thanks for being our very special friends and sharing your beautiful angel with us.

Luanne & Spirit Shooter

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.

Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.
