Every now and then, my Happy Hannah will sneeze......maybe once or twice a week.....never a whole bunch of times in a row.

She,all also every now and then give a little "snort" like she's blowing a gnat out of her nose (which could indeed be the case). She's a Bull Mastiff and I'm sure she's done this all along but, as you know' we tripawd parents become neuroticly hyper diligent. Celebrating four month ampuversary and just finished four rounds carbo platen and handled everything really well!

I'm pretty sure......almost positive ......she's been doing this all along. .....a sneeze or snort once in awhile. I just read that sneezing 'could' be a sign of 'you know what'. She's absolutely doing fine e....no coughing.....eating way too well and often......when she rests, she really rests well and often but it as been hot here too.......her activity bursts are fine for an overweight "young senior" and " tripawd plus size model"!! She really is delightful happy and joyful.

Thank you for contributing your valuable time.

With gratitude, Sally and Happy Hannah

I sneeze more than 2 times a week big-grin

I know what you mean about bring over vigilant though. Gatsby has spring time allergies so sneezes a ton right now. He also does reverse sneezing (which honestly scares the $#%^*#%@ out of me. Google it...)

I think with lung mets ( but I don't know from experience) you're looking for coughing and difficulty breathing. A sneeze or two a week is probably dust causing irritation.

Congrats on 4 months!!!!

Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog

Boy do I understand your hyper vigilance! Every little thing they might have done before, all of a suden we notice because we are watching them so much closer. Last night, Athena was sleeping on the floor next to my bed and started reverse sneezing for about 10 seconds. (Which I know she has done many times before over the years.) So scary because it comes out of nowhere...and of course after the diagnosis, every hack or cough or snort they make makes you wonder.

Hi Sally,

From what you describe, it doesn't sound like anything to worry about. If it became more frequent, or if she also developed a nasal discharge, then I would definitely recommend getting it checked out. It's good that you're aware of it so you can keep an eye on it.

Right hind limb amputated 7/3/12 for OSA, started on alternating cycles of Carboplatin and Doxorubicin and oral Palladia. Single lung met 9/1. Met in the neck muscle removed 9/30. Large mass in sublumbar lymph node 10/2. Rescue chemo with ifosfamide 10/6. Mets to the rib and axillary lymph node 10/21. Started Leukeran and Pred 10/25. Wookie left this Earth for a far better place on 12/4/12. I miss you, Boo, you were my heart.

Sally,
You are a vigilant Mommy, your baby is in good hands with you. It's hard not to look at something now and catch yourself referencing before OSA,. As you have said to me Breath, slow down, and breath. Everything else looks good with Hannah. Keep us posted.

Sally - I just know it is just a dainty Hannah sneeze, but you are the best pawrent and take the best care of her so it's ok to worry. Now, repeat after me - it's only a boring old sneeze!. Thinking of you!

Spirit Shooter was a Miniature Australian Shepherd who was diagnosed with a MCT and had a LF amp 1/28/13 at 13-1/2 years old.

Shooter crossed the Bridge on 8/28/13, his 7 month ampuversary and two weeks from his 14th birthday.

Thanks Kelly!

ThankJessica!

Thanks Heather!

Thanks Esther!

Thanks Luanne!

Thank each of you for taking to e to respond and to offer some reassurance!! It's so much easier giving advice than practicing it your own self!! Thanks for reminding me to breathe and that it is, indeed, , just a boring old sneeze! After I posted this, my other dog and I started sneezing g. I posted somewhere today that apparently just vacuuming once a year isn't enough!

Thanks all, I appreciate each of your comments so much!
