Great news "relatively speaking";)
We will take any good news considering and it is relieving news PHEW!

Purrkins goes for both acupuncture and chiro I think it is HUGE IF you can make that happen! I know we have talked about this before but I cannot say enough about both of those on a tripawd. I know what it does for Purrkins and what gets out of whack on him being on three. I believe you will see a difference in the first treatments. Our Dr. Matt does both I'm shocked Dr. Petty is not on board WOW we see such an incredible difference in Purrkins you would have to see it to believe it.

Keep listening to your inner voice it will steer you in the right direction.

Maybe you can email Dr. Wheedle on the brace/wheels questions. She understands too much going on at these appts!

Way to go on keeping the Crazy Cool Super Dawg Franky on RR it's paying off!

Gonna try and to these sort of in order.  I hope you find these helpful as you watch Dr Wheedle and how she assesses  Feankie's legs.  Every motion, every placement of her hands, every touch has a purpose.

She watches for any flinch, any tension.  Lots of good clean movement on this one with little or no reaction.  Some of these movements have her good indication  on the meniscus  and  cruciate repair

This one is more focus on the cruciate  repair, scar tissue, arthritis  in that area.

Listen to Frankie's ouch when she tests his hip.

And now she is assessing  his "good" rear leg.  Not finding  any real issues.

I know this is two minutes, but it really does show more assessment  of his good back leg and his front leg.  Again, she has a purpose behind everything  she does, even as she massages  him.  The front elbow definitely  has arthritis  and is painful.  I wish I had a video of her going up and down the sides of his spin with the palm heel of her hands.  She could really feel the sore spots and tightness.

AS ALWAYS....I THANK EACH OF YOU FROM THE BOTTOM OF MY HEART ❤   EVERY SINGLE WORD, ECERY SINGLE SUGGESTION  ARE SO APPRECIATED!!!!!

Great videos Sally, they show a lot of hope!!  Arthritis is so much more manageable than what what we thought you were dealing with.

I hope you can get some good prices on adequan and the other meds. The places i sent you are the cheapest prices i have found, and it really depends on the meds on which one as far as who will give the best price. Costco shocked me once with a 50.00 med for Oscar's feline eye herpes only ended up being$10.00.

All of our angels got behind Hannah and they are pushing that black cloud away.... There is indeed a light at the end of the tunnel, and more love than you can imagine.

Wow he is suuuuuuch a good boy to lay there like that and really stay calm. Pretty amazing that she can "talk" to him with her hands, she knows exactly what to feel for and how to gauge his reaction. Very cool. Thank you for sharing.

Sally, I am so happy to hear the news and to watch the videos, you sure seem to have a veeery competent rehab vet there!

I am so relieved there are other solutions rather than another surgery ☺️

As Jackie says, there is light at the end of the tunnel 😊

I’ll let Dr Luís know what is happening and will tell him we don’t need his advice at present, right?

Fingers still crossed for Frankie, he will get there ☺️

Sendjng you an avalanche of kisses, a trillion belly rubs for Frankie (he seems to like those best 😉) and a trillion cuddles to Myrtle 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Sally (((hug)))

I looked at the videos at work, but I really got to look at them now.. at home.. when I could use volume and have a good screen. That was a great physical.. she did an awesome evaluation clap  He really looked comfy throughout most of it, his good side is freaking pawsome! Her technique reminded me a lot of the docs I worked with in New England big-grin

I don't think you could have gotten any better of news. Even his arthritis on the other leg was not bad considering Mr. Frankie Sinatraaaa's pawsonality and vigor for life.

You know I am not a doc.. I don't even play one on TV laughing  But ... just from what I have seen over the years, this makes me feel really good.. so much better about his prognosis. Please remind me, how old is our superstar? He is bound to have arthritis on the post- surgical leg, and probably in his spine given his breed. I would recommend a supplement that used to rock for helping with joint fluids.. but they don't make it anymore, which sucks.

In my unprofessional, most honest and humble opinion if you would like it... a good some kind of synovi-glucosamine-chondroitin supplement to add to his breakfast and dinner can work wonders not at reversing, but at slowing down the arthritis and adding fluid to his joints. And I have seen it work with my own two eyes, inside and out. My sweet chocolate lab Pepper had xrays done when her heart started having problems, and she had arthritis in her spine that was totally asymptomatic. I assisted a cruciate ligament surgery that when they sliced open his knee the fluid squirted out of it because the supplement had been used faithfully. The doctor was shocked. I used the supplement for Pepper from the time I adopted her and she was as limber as an 18 year old kid.

Just my .02 cents worth. We are throwing ideas and experiences out there, so I am sharing. I used to get a big tub of the Synovi-MSM and paid about $35.00 for it, but it lasted forever. Beef flavored granules, never saw a dog turn their nose up at it. I am sure they make something comparable now. I used Cosequin DM for Mitchell for a long time, but he got to be a real bugger about it and I tried unsuccessfully to find a few other products. Mitchell is like Mikey.. he hates almost everything, lol. I will be doing some research now that we have a pup and maybe I will get lucky and find something that I can give them both. The CBD for now is doing a great job, and maybe that is another thing to look into?

Your R and R has helped Mr. Grumpypants "I wanna chase squirrels" tremendously! Thank goodness the cold weather is coming... maybe that will help slow him down for the winter so that he will be more of a spring puppy again.

Awww, Frankie!!!! You know you stole my heart long ago, but you are just the SWEETEST boy in the WHOLE WORLD EVER!!!

His face, while she does the manipulations! It just totally makes me melt.

I must say, this looks very positive to me. He has good range of movement, both in his supergood back leg and hip, and also in his front leg. His carpus looks great, and his elbow has good range of movement too. And although Dr W says there is some arthritis there, I would think that is only to be expected, and ought to be able to be managed well with a combination of pain relief (Galliprant etc), dasuquin, acupuncture etc.

The problematic knee reminds me very much of Elsie's, which was also considerably bigger than the other one because of the arthritis, but the arthritis actually served to stabilise the joint, and again it was perfectly manageable with weight loss (poor Pie sad), pain killers, acupuncture etc. And laser, actually, was great for Pie, and seems to help Megsta too. Obviously, I am simply responding to videos, and am in no way an expert in any case, but sharing my reaction on seeing these. I really feel things are going to be okay, Sally. You, Frankie and Myrtle are a force to be reckoned with and with the whole Tripawd nation cheering you on, and the Angels showering blessing down from above...

Sending love,

Meg, Clare and Elsie Pie heartheartheart

Hi Sally 🌼

Just emailed Dr Luis reg your sweet rehab vet visit and forwarded all of Frankie's videos too.

I don't know if he will have any comments now that things are clear and a direction was found but in any case I owed him an update and also if we need to pursue this with him in the future at least he knows what the current situation is.

Hoping all is better with our Frankie boy, lots of kisses and hugs and cuddles flying your way 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

Right, Sally, sweetheart 🌼

Just got an email from Dr Luis, he has looked at Frankie's videos carefully and read your post (the 29th August one) which I fully translated, and this is his opinion:

"It seems a direction was found for Frankie but these non invasive treatments are always expensive." (he is aware cost is a factor here, from your post)

"It would be advisable to provide a non steroid anti-inflammatory treatment as per a chronic condition, on a low dosage, combined with daily tramadol."

"The laser treatment would be very beneficial"

"Underwater treadmill or at least swimming would be highly advisable in order to keep the muscles fit and protect the articulations."

Would you be able to consider laser and hydrotherapy ?

Is there anywhere near you that provides both?

Love, kisses, hugs and cuddles galore from this side of the Atlantic 😘🐮💫✨🌟🌹

THANK YOU SOOOOOO MUCH  E V E R Y B O D Y!!!   Your support, good wishes, suggestions and pixie dust have all made such a huge difference  as we continue  forward!!!❤

Teresa, you were so kind to reach out to Dr Louis,  and he was equally  as kind to take time to respond ❤      His generosity  of time and advice was way above and beyond.  THANK YOJ VOTH SO MUCH!!!

The points the good Doctor made were very, very  helpful.  Please convey my sincere  appreciation.  I really like that he seemed very much in line with the Rehab Vet.

Talk about a big DUH moment!!   I had to laugh at my dumb self though....yes, really, really dumb... as far as not grasping  how costly the "non-invasive" treatments are in order to be done consistently!

As you already know, this whole time I've  "avoided" costly testing, possibility  of costly surgeries, costly follow up rehab, costly blah, blah, blah, etc.

Ohhhh myyyyygoodness!  In addition  to the Galliprant, the Dasuquin Advance,  and possibly including the at home Adequan injections, plus more "rest" for da' hound, etc., the Rehab Vet laid out her "suggestions"  in an email for laser.  She wants to do every other day.....every other day..... for two weeks!!    Then every three to four days for two weeks.....then once a week!!  And then there's the hydrotherapy!  Ohhhhh myyyy goodness!!   Frankie!  Frankie! Frankie!  Everyday is an adventure with you and I love you for it!😎

And Clare. thanks for the comparison  of The Pie's knee situation and what was helpful for her.  A lot of similarities.  Do you recall how often did she do laser??

So for now, Frankie's hydrotherapy will consist of swimming  in he deepest ditch around here I can find after a massive rain  storm.😎    His "laser treatment" will consist of one of shining one of those laser flashlights that Nitro chased on him. 😎

Speaking of Nitro, he has sent Frankie some of his leftover Galliprant and Adequan and  I am sooooo gratedul!!❤

So for now, DEFINITELY  doing the Galliprant and Dasuquan Advance (or something  similar), rest, and seeing  what kind of results I get from that.  I DO feel like he is NOT worse and, even a bit better....not collapsing  as much (knocking  in wood)!!!!!  YAY!!

❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😚😚😚😚😚😚😚
