I wanted to give everyone a heads up. Here is what is going on with photobucket. They are doing away with 3rd party hosting. Which according to their definition
Free account : Each individual Member gets one free account that provides 2 GB of free storage or space available for your original photo files, or videos under 10min. The free account does not allow any image linking or 3rd party image hosting. If a free account Member exceeds their Content Limit, their account will be immediately suspended and they will need to become a “Paying Member” (defined below) in order to continue accessing their account. You can upgrade to a Plus account at any time. (their upgrade is to 39.99 a month or $ 399.00 a year) to be allowed 3rd party hosting.
- Plus Account : The Plus Account offers several paid options that may give the Paying Member more storage, bandwidth, 3rd party image hosting, image linking and/or other services as outlined below. Once and during such period of time in which you subscribe to and pay for a Plus Account, we will consider you a "Paying Member." Please note that all Plus Account subscriptions are billed annually at the commencement of the service. Photobucket may also offer a monthly billing option for its Plus Accounts (see terms and restrictions, below).
- Available Plus Account Plans : Photobucket offers the following Plus Account Plans:
o Plus 50 Plan: 52 GB of Storage for $59.99 / Year. The Plus 50 Plan does not allow any image linking or 3rd party image hosting.

The link you gave was also helpful I understanding how outraged people are and what a complete rip-off this is!! The comments were helpful too. It spunded like one guy figured out how to get them to show back up on sites by doing something with "open tab" or something?????

I just went in and looked at my account. I still have room for pictures, but I was going to transfer them all to the photo folder on my computer. Of course, once I checked them out, I realized that they all came from my computer in the first place.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Giess I signed up three...four yrs ago, all I remember was PhotoFUbucket was free. And even ifnit said free as long as you don't use up all your storage, it was ALWAYS showing I had plenty of storage space left!!
Anyepway, the way to test is try and embed a photo here. If it shows up, your good...if it doesn't, everything youve ever posted here is annihilated!

Jim and I are wrapped up with a yard sale this weekend but we will make it a top priority to investigate further on Monday. Thank you for your patience. Hang in there.

So here's what I'm thinking – bearing in mind that I am no texpert, and I don't even know if it's possible, but...
If Photobucket could be persuaded (perhaps for the payment of a small fee?) to re-establish the links for a limited period (say a couple of weeks?), then we could go through all the posts, remove the images from Photobucket, upload them elsewhere (perhaps to a blog?) and replace the old links with new ones. Clearly, with both Sally and Eurydice, this is an immense task, but the Tripawds Nation is even greater, and we are not easily defeated.
Personally, I would be more than willing to donate a few hours of my time to this task, and if others were also able to do so, then between us...
What do you think? Is it possible? We would have to be able to access the posts to replace the links, which we can't do at present, but presumably the potential is there?
Just a thought, and maybe not possible for any number of reasons, but if there is anything at all I can do to help, then please know that I am ready to do it. I feel really upset about this.

Hey Clare! Great idea and I'm willing to help. Ultimately I'm concerned about relying on any website to store special memories in perpetuity. As we see, it can disappear in a flash.
One thought I had was to save the photos to a disc/flashdrive so they aren't lost. I'm not sure if Teresa and Sally have personal computers. The photos can also go into a word document that could be printed so they always have a printed copy of the important photos.
I like the idea of the blog for tripawd purposes and I'm sure Admin will have suggestions around what it best. Storage space may become a problem.
I was able to access Teresa's photobucket (not Sally's at this moment) and saved this photo to my computer and then uploaded it to my dashboard:
As I said on another page there are enough techie types here that we may be able to come up with a good solution.

Yeah, this is an issue that hits home with us also, it's just a sucky situation. As I mentioned earlier, Admin and I are babysitting our yard sale all weekend but as soon as we have some brain power return we will figure out if there are any solutions.
Kerren, we agree about storing your only copies of photos solely online. Everyone needs to back up to a hard format regularly. As you can see, anything is possible. Admin Guy says rest assured that any photo uploaded to any Tripawds blog will always be available.
And now I need to run, we have yard sale looked loos! Stay tuned...

I DO have one more thought on the legal end that Holly mentioned. . Some people have probavly sent pictures to their Doctors for comparison of "whatever" from one week to another....or certainly to their Vets for same purpose...maybe to see how a surgical site is healing or whatever!! If you email "share" from your photofubucket account...all gone!

Rest assured, we will do anything and everything pawsible to help get this resolved. Unfortunately, as much as it breaks our hearts to say this, there is not much we can do...yet, we shall endeavor to persevere.
After researching the recent changes to their terms of service, and searching extensively for any workaround, it appears that the only solution being offered is user account based. So, after finally finding a way to contact Photobucket, we have submitted an inquiry about whether or not they offer any sort of partner account services that may allow third party hosting on a specific domain, and if so what options may exist for a charitable public charity organization such as Tripawds.
We shall report back with an update, if we ever receive a response back from a human. So far, we have only received an auto-response from "Robert" - the rather polite Photobucket support bot.

I always say to go to the top. Not that it's always worked for me. Since Admin has a brilliant idea for partnership, here are some names I found: John Corpus, CEO. He looks like a young, nice guy open to partnerships and then there is Chris Peacock, the Chief Technology Officer. Their office is in Denver, Colorado and the phone number is 303-226-6800. Their address is Suite 160, 2399 Blake Street. Maybe Wyatt could get you in the door?
With the chaos they have caused I hope they aren't too busy for a chat.
