Okay...just try and ignore some of these "tests" I'm doing here from some of the tips people are sharing in the internet to try and reclaim photos already posted.

Okay, from what I've read on Google, his is starting to happen throughout Photobcuket regardless of "storage"...And has one person said to do what they're trying to do and make this RETROACTIVE is where it is illegal.
It's like Starbucks changing Merry Myrtle's Puppucino from free to $100...And then charging me for everyone she had in the past!
Anyway, here's a great site where the comments really give a lot of good options. The inly thing is you have ro have a REAL computer apparently to do some of the things they are doing...or to use some of the hosting sites they are using.

I'm sure I'm way off base, but It sounds like there IS a way to get the photos here to show back up if you go to an Apple store and buy an Use.com app...??????
And apparently some of these things don't work with android or tavlets.

What if I deleted the last ten photos.....or whateve the number is.... I embedded here from photofubucket. Whatever the magic number might be ro get me back under their secret storage number. And I ALWAYS atay under that number because I never use them again!
That way, all but "X" number of recent photos would not appear here. I transfer those photos to another sharing link.....repost them here. BAM!! Problem solved!!! 🙂 🙂 Okay, pretty sure I hear laughing fom everyone in cyber land.....but why wouldn't that work??

So what other ways can we upload photos? I only have a photobucket account to upload photos here. Maybe there are other free services? I will dump photobucket if necessary. I was able to upload in a recent post (today) with no problems.

Sally, not to worry, admin will try to work out a partnership. My reading on this is that Photobucket could end up losing a lot of users. I even read on facebook of a fellow who paid the $400 ransom and still can't access his photos. I think they might have technical problems now.
Please don't delete anything until admin finds out more. At least don't delete any photos you don't have saved elsewhere. Working with admin and Clare we need to get you to a safe place where you have access to your precious photos.

Marla, do you still have your photos stored on a computer? When I add a photo here I do it through the dashboard and it's not stored elsewhere other than on my computer. The problem with any free photo service is that it could go under or charge you a ransom at anytime. Worse than a $100 puppucino!
Check back, admin and the monkeys (as Sally calls them) may have answers. Meanwhile I'll look at the app Sally mentioned.

I only put photos on Photobucket for uploading to Tripawds. So no worries about ransom. I always have backups of backups. I worry about photos I have uploaded in the past here disappearing 
I just now used photobucket to upload photos to a new post so fingers crossed.

There is no magic number, no secret storage limit.
Photobucket has changed the terms of service for users of their free platform, which now prohibits external (third-party) hosting of images, except for the new premium paid tier.
There are no dumb questions, only dumb answers, like this one.
the comments really give a lot of good options.
Unfortunately, the only "options" being suggested require switching platforms to host your photos. This will not restore any Photobucket images. And, it lends itself to similar changes in terms of service possibly happening to those platforms in the future.

There are numerous "free" image hosting services available, with no guarantees that those won't change their terms of service some day too. Anyone can start a free Tripawds Blog anytime and know that any images they upload will always remain available. Always.

More and more on internet people are saying they are having trouble accessing their photobucket. And a couple are saying they reluctantly paid the fee (one had years of historical photos embedded on sites) and the photos have NOT been restored
People are being blocked from trying to transfer their pictures to somewhere else.
My own account all of the sudden now has some junk photos that I took weeks ago....thye've been moved to the top as though they were the most recent taken. When I clicked onto the actual individual photo....the photo was replaced with that flippin photofubucket notice.
********Just to be clear, even if I transferred all my photos to another place, the ONLY WAY ro get all the photos and screenshots Ive embedded here over the past four years is THROUGH PHOTOFUBUCKET, is that right??

Sally I can answer one question for you. The way you would know which picture was posted is by clicking the PHOTOFUBUCKET error code on the forum. Where the picture used to be and now has the error picture block!
Click the error, It will take you to you to the picture you posted on your account that no longer shows up on the forum. Thats how you would know which picture is missing on the forum. That still would not help you put them back where they were originally. You can only edit the forum post until someone posts after you? I believe anyway. You would know which picture is suppose to be there but then what to do?? 
I'm sure Admin. can answer the remainder of the questions?!?
The entire photofubucket is a nightmare unreal!

We will do our best to make this as clear as possible...
- Moving photos to another hosting platform will not restore any images currently embedded on third party website like Tripawds.
- According to Photobucket, the only way to restore embedded photos is to upgrade to their top tier premium plan.

Affirmative. The task of restoring images via any other hosting platform, while technically possible, would not be feasible. This would entail:
- View forum post with "missing" embedded photobucket image.
- Click warning message image, visit photobucket, click image again.
- View image on photobucket, download image to hard drive.
- Upload image to another platform, copy image file location,
- Edit forum post, replace photo with new image file URL.
- Save forum post.
- View next forum post.
- Repeat...
NOTE: There are currently 5,326 Photobucket image URLS in 190,142 Tripawds forum posts.
NOTE: There are currently 667 matches for Photobucket user "salholladay55".

Short Answer (if we understand your question correctly): No.
The Tripawds server has ample storage and bandwidth to host images in member blogs. This can and will be expanded as needed.
No amount of bandwidth allocated to Server B (Tripawds) will restore any embedded images being blocked from third party hosting by Server A (Photobucket.)
Technically speaking, there is currently nothing Tripawds server administrators, nor their trained monkeys, nor the powers that be can do to restore images being served up by another server (Photobucket) if that server is blocking third party hosting of images. Ouch. This hurts.
We see this debacle eventually sorting itself out one way or another.
- Photobucket may get a clue and adjust their terms again, either making the third-party hosting feature more affordable, or restoring it altogether. (High Hopes!)
- OR: Some developer out there with create a plugin or script that might automate the process of moving hosted images, thus restoring display on third party sites
- OR: Hackers will figure out a black hat work-around.
- OR: Photobucket will realize there is a market for working with third party hosts and offer partnership options for third party hosting on specific domains.
- OR: Enough Photobucket users will pay the fee (and the feature will work), that Photobucket will stick to their guns and free account holders will be forced to live with their current third-party hosted images not displaying.
Only time will tell...

This is why we offer free Tripawds blogs , and why we must charge for additional storage space for members who want or need it.
Regardless, any photos uploaded will always be there, as long as we're in control, which will be like forever...just check out some random blogs.
