Doing dishes with my backed turned... turned around and who do I see sitting ON TOP OF the kitchen table? None other than our favorite Tripawd Barret. Just acting like this was a usual occurance... First I was stunned.. second I laughed at him (because how can you not laugh), then I took a quick picture and finally shooed him off the table.
What I think he wanted was the newspaper. He loves to shred paper... opening gifts is his favorite but this was fun too. Enjoy the video!
Barret was diagnosed with Hemangiopericytoma May 16, 2013. Front left leg/scapula/pectoral muscle was amputated on June 11, 2013 and we've never looked back. Follow our story on http://barret.t.....pawds.com/ and read my column on That Pet Blog
Oh, Barrett! You are just too cute.
Headed over to vote.
Kathi and Murphy
Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
WHERE DI YOU DID YOU GET THAT TABLE ORNAMENT?? I want one of those dog stutes for my table!! O M D!! And he's soooooo proud of himself!!
And what Master Paper Shredder he is! And I love how he looks up and grabs the paper...waiting to be feed!! Has you guys well trained!!
THANKS SO MUCH for posting these! Can never get enough of that cute voy!! Can't wait to see him opening his presents!
Love to all!
Sally and Happy Hannah
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
Makes you wonder what he is up to when you're not home.....
Maggie LOVED opening presents and tearing paper. At Christmas we used to wrap a toy in tissue paper and put it in a gift bag. Mag would dive head first into the bag, rip up the tissue and discard the toy, then look for the next one! I really only needed one new toy, I could wrap it in the tissue scraps, put it back in the bag, and she was in heaven!
Karen
Tri-pug Maggie survived a 4.5 year mast cell cancer battle only to be lost to oral melanoma.

Ii THINK HE JUST WANTS TO BE YOUR CENTER PIECE!!!!! hahahahahhaha
Too cute..
and how could you not laugh turning around and seeing that?
Doesn't it just amaze you when they do stuff like this.. when months ago.. we were all faced with the uncertain decision to amputate? I think that is why we have such a strong bond with our tripawds... cause they show us that anything is pawssible!!!
Christine..... with Franklin in her heart♥
Franklin, he was the Happiest Dog on Three Legs! Diagnosed 09/26/2012 with Osteosarcoma, amputated 12/4/2012. Had a wonderful 5 1/2 months painfree until he ran for the Bridge on 5/15/2013. Always in my heart, and always a guardian angel of my pack... You can follow his Tripawd Adventures, before and after, in my blog, Frank'n'Farter!
Ha ha Barrett! You silly puppy!
I don't know what it is about paper that they love shredding so much. I have three paper shredders in the house. Both the big girls love to shred regular paper, particularly bills and receipts. And Mathilde is my cardboard shredder... this is her handy work.
Adelaide is a young tripawd Husky, from an injury. Her amp was on 10/1/12. She has 4 sisters, Aissa (a senior border collie/chow), Maggie May (a puppy Great Pyrenees), Mathilde and Morrigan and 1 baby brother, Bagheera. We are all watched over by our angel Brendol, who was dx with OSA 1/30/13, amp on 2/6/13, and left us on 8/20/13.
You can read their stories at http://adelaide.tripawds.com and http://brendol.tripawds.com

Karen - Barret is the same way about christmas toys and gifts... if we aren't looking on Christmas morning he will start to open other people's gifts too.. it makes him soooo happy!
