Sooo, CharlieBear has been moping around and will not leave his massive dog house. Why get out of bed?!? Whhhhyyyyyyyyyy?!?! I can Woofles all night lying down! Woe are my Woofles!

I thought, perhaps I shall see if we can bring something to him to spark his googly eyes. What better to bring than the EmmaPaws!!! The Vet School released her for the time being and as soon as she was in the truck, well, she was soooooooooooooo happy. Mind you she has not eaten since Wednesday so she is not terribly strong on her feet but by golly she was sooooooooooo happy!

As I struggled to get her out of the truck in the elegant manner that she requires when we arrived home ( thank you Angel Maggie and Angel Pofi for the harness!) , out of the corner of my eye I see this massive white streak charging across the pasture, leaping like a Lipizzaner, making a beeline for the gate with his horse TiggaPony. It was the The Charge of Da Bear Brigade! Well, Emma, being very unsteady in heart and feet currently, did her best to ignore them. CharlieBear tried to rectify that by sticking his head between the gate and the post! He tried to leap up over the gate! He tried going though the bars! Oh, geesh...didn't Emma's discharge say no rough housing?

As soon as Emma was in the pasture, CharlieBear made EmmaPancake Number One ( and knocked me over as well). I picked her up and carried her to her Dog Suite. She was sooooooooooo happy to be in her suite when....Da Bear ran into her house and pancaked her again. And sat down and refused to leave her.

Eventually, breakfast had to be served so Da Bear went back to his house and Emma ( ssssshhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh) decided if he was eating maybe she should eat 1/4 can chicken and rice...

BE MORE DA BEARS!

( Huge Hugs and PyrPaws to all! I will be PMing many of you in the next few days. And will definitely reach out to the House of MegAWonder! Am going to take a nap now and then start the Dear God What Can I Buy That My Dog MAY Eat Trip...)

It's obvious that CharlieBear loves Emma. Home at last, every thing is right now.

Funny I thought with was going to be a poo post poopicon_pngpoopicon_png and was thinking we might need another icon!

I am so delighted to hear Emma is home - nearly CharlieBear level excited.

Sending lots of love and hopes that all stays right in your world for a while now and Emma continues to eat well.

On October 27, 2016, nearly 6 months after amputation, and 18 months since his cancer likely started, we lost Pofi to a recurrence of Soft Tissue Sarcoma in his spine quite suddenly.  His canine sister also succumbed to cancer on March 1, 2019 - we lavished her with our love in the interim, but life was never quite the same without her only real canine friend. Cliff kitty had to leave us, too, suddenly, in August 2019. Lucia kitty grieved all these losses, but helped us welcome two new Lurchers into our home and our lives, Shae and Barley.

Thank you to all who sent TriPawd love and strength and well wishes! It honestly does make the biggest difference here at Da Bear HQ!!! Last night EmmaRose decided to PULL A MEG, ahem... I went out after dark to give her her heart meds and could not for the life of me- for more than 45 minutes!!!-find her in the pasture or with CharlieBear ( who had taken over her suite and was rolling his eyes at me in woe...but was too sleepy to go find her...)

EmmaRose had left her suite, and the horse stall, AND the top pasture and had nonchalantly relocated herself 50 yards away at the top of a line of scrap hedges in the midst of the line of trees. EMMA ON PATROL AS CHARLIEBEAR SLEEPS! She was stealthy quiet and the ONLY way I found her was TiggaPony helping me out ( Hey, you, psssssssst, quite obvious here....)Should I pick her up and put her back in her suite?!?  Emma said, " HOLY HAND GRENADES!!!" Soooo it was a clear sign-despite her challenges and weakened state- to let her Be More Dog

This morning when I went out... She was back in her suite. I like that she frequently tells me, " Well to H E double hockey sticks with that!!!" . And this is why she is my North Star. EMMA ON PATROL!

I love this. I mean I don't love the fact you were searching for her for 45 minutes. That must have been a nightmare. I think if that had been me I'd have swallowed the heart meds myself. But I LOVE the fact that Emma Rose took herself off for an evening stroll after being cooped up in the hospital. Just checking things out, enjoying the air, a steady patrol around the grounds. Da Bear is back. Nobody mess with Da Bear heartheartheart
