We dock and clip to reduce their weight! And if they get as big as Fortis, limbs start coming off!
Monkeybutt has a stupid tattoo from the shelter! A big ugly handwritten "N" for Neutered on his belly. (but Comet thinks it stands for Nazi Dog!) I would love to have it made into something nice looking but that might seem cruel to some.
I want pics of Fortis! How come you dont give us more photos? Yesterday was a Kodak moment!
Harley – I get the evil eye for not getting Comet's leg fixed! What kind of cruel people would not fix a leg that crosses in the middle of a dog's chest!?? At least when people see her in the vet's office they assume I am there to get that poor leg fixed and don't think I'm such a bad person!
AND NO, it can't be fixed!!!
Comet - 1999 to 2011
She departed us unexpectedly January 23, 2011 at the age of 12 1/2.
She was born with a deformed front leg and a tripawd all of her life.

Man that is hilarious in crazy sick way! "limbs start coming off".
Photo......Because I'm an idiot and don't know how to use a bloody computer which is a laugh considering I have 4 keyboards, 4 mice, 4 cpu's, and 9 flat screens up and running to choose from. Can you say Overload
Actually I am trying to upload a photo at this moment.

Good luck! You cannot upload images directly to the forums, that's why we started the Tripawds Blogs. If you have photos shared somewhere else online – like flickr or photobucket – you can follow these instructions for adding photos to posts. Otherwise, start a blog for Fortis and upload images to the Media Library. Then you can follow those same istructions for posting photos here in the forums.

Awe, Fortis! You go big guy - looks like you're having a super good time.
Shanna & Spirit Trouble ~ Trouble gained her wings 3/16/2011, a 27 1/2 month cancer survivor, tail wagging. RIP sweetheart, you are my heart and soul. Run free at Rainbow Bridge.
The November Five - Spirits Max, Cherry, Tika, Trouble & Nova. 11/2008 - 3/2013 An era ends as Queen Nova crossed the Bridge.
Those were hilarious stories! I LOVED them!!!! Nice to laugh around here once in a while!!
And the picture is fanstastic! It says it alll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Tracy, Maggie's Mom
Maggie was amputated for soft tissue sarcoma 10-20-09
Maggie lost her battle with kidney disease on 8-24-13
I think it is the perfect time to post great fun pictures. We all need to see the tree that stands in the forest - so to speak. It is always hardest for me to post Trouble's ampuversaries when there is saddness in the days leading up to it, but I push forward. Someone coming in new needs to see the positive and know we have a lot to celebrate. Great job!

Thank you Karen and Shanna for the reassurance. It really helped. I was feeling a bit awkward to tell you the truth.

Karen
That's so very kind of you Karen. Such a beautiful way to put it. So brave......
Brett, Fortis' Dad

I hope it dosen't seem insensitive of me to post a picture at this time.
Not at all, it's ruff times like these when we all need inspiring stories and fun photos most! It's why Jerry started this topic about feeling guilty when posting good news.

Yeah, so there – Brett!
BUT I put my foot down when it's Comet's time! As moderator, I'll delete happy news from anyone! I want a a full week of Comet memorials! Everyone has to eulogize her (for a week)! And I want to site to go dark for at least 10 minutes in her honor!
But that's just me…

Now Cometdog it would be totally disrespectful of me to show my head when Jim our fearless leader and world famous model refuses to show his!!! A week of eulogies no problem but 10 minutes of silence is pushing it don't you think?
