At least the RI temp feels like Christmas.  Va, is very warm too.  So glad you  got  to fave dome good  memory  making  time with  your  parents.

Sadly, ever so sadly, I had to release Hank from his earth clothes yesterday.  They no longer served him. Probably spine tumor or disease disc.  His back end gait was a little "weird " even when I first adopted him.  Long story short, this past month  got ore wobbly, more  drunken and staggering gait, , then such back end weakness he was scooting  but could eventually  get himself up.  With continued strong will and determination  he woild get himself up, until he couldn't.  Vet said even IF IF IF I had the money for MRIs, surgeries, etc to  confirm tumor or disc, or both,    She would not recommend  it with his heart condition  and she said it would make NO difference...NO difference...  in the outcome. Through his sheer will and lots of  Prednisone and good pain management   we were able to pull off some miracles the past thirty 45 days......until we couldn't.   His front end would function  but his back half was completely  useless.     His struggle to try and make it work was taking away from his quality.  In spite of it all, he remained happy but was paying a price for that happiness.  

Cash and I were right by his side for the home release.   So he was surrounded by our love in his furever home with his very own person who adored him  and his best dog friend in the whole world.  And Hank  was doing what he loved most....eating!!

I'll write more later.  Sorry to vent a little, but just so unfair to finally have the best life evvvvr and to have it cut so short.  

This is how Hank and Cash slept every night.
