Clare let us know that our beloved Meg headed to The Rainbow Bridge today. She has been our Tripawd RockStar Warrior here for many years. Now she has gained her own Star in the Heavens next to her buddy Elsie Pie and predecessor Billie.
To say it's a privilege to get to know Meg and her lovely Mum Clare is such an understatement. The unbreakable bond between these two has been on a Soul deep level. It's a level that really is one where they were born to be with each other. Some may say a divinely guided union.
To try and put into words all the joy, the laughter, the wisdom, the wit, the humor, the sass, the genius of Meg is just impossible. We know we are better human beings because we were soooo privileged to share this earth journey with Meg and Clare. We can sort of make an attempt to put into words what that privilege, that honor, has meant to is. But to try and describe all the gifts and life lessons Meg and her Mum hasv given us, to describe how she TRULY enriched our lives....nah....not possible.
Yeah, Meg showed up in dog clothes, but she was an enlightened and wise sassy Sage who picked Clare as her hooman, as her voice. Although most of the time Meg didn't need her thought bubble translated because her looks were so expressive. Clare understood every nuance of Meg and vice versa. Meg definitely knew how to "train" her Mum to do whatever she wanted😉Meg knew with very little "training" from her, Clare would be a perfect Chauffeur for her as she pushed her around in her Royal Carriage. Yes, these two were destined to be together.
Clare and Meg were soooo tuned into each other as only those who share one heart, one Soul, could be. When we say Clare gave Meg THE best earth life possible....yeah, yet again another understatement where we can't find the words.
I'm gonna try and go back and find a few links that illustrate what a joyous light in this world Meg has been....and shall continue to be. Yes, our hearts are so heavy and our grief hurts. As it is said, "that's the price we pay for love". And as Meg would say, '"Oh for goodness sakes, stop crying and get on with celebrating the delight of the privilege of knowing me! Yes, you are such lucky hoomans to have known me! Seriously, I had the best earth life evvvver thanks to my Mum! The signs Elsie and I will be sending our Mum will blow her mind! Stay tuned! Gotta go roll in some mud now!"
With gratitude and appreciation to MegASrar and Clare♥️
Sally and Alumni Happy Hannah and Merry Myrtle and Frankie too!
PS. In case you need a glimpse into what a dog with attitude looks like, here ya' go. Yet another way Meg trained her Mum to do what she wanted, when she wanted it.
Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!
When we talk about the joy that Meg and Claire have blessed us with, this thread expresses it beautifully. You will smile and you will laugh, I promise.
So if you want to take just a minute or two to read through this it embodies so much of one of the many ways Meg has made our lives better. We definitely have had more joy in our lives because she has been here with us

Awww these are beautiful Sally, thank yo for sharing. I'm so sad that Meg is now an angel. A beautiful one for sure, but hard to believe she is with Elsie Pie now. She has been with us for so long, always educating us about how to make life better and hoppier for long-term Tripawds.
The "Meg-a-Star" led an incredible, resilient and adventurous life on three legs. Written off by veterinarians and disregarded as an amputation candidate, she is proof that leaving no stone unturned can help an animal live a full, rich experience for many years as a Tripawd. Clare was such a great advocate for her needs, always making sure she had the ongoing care she needed to age gracefully.
I encourage everyone to read about her and listen to Clare on our podcast:
How Meg Enjoys a Pain Free Tripawd Life
Meg is deeply missed by all of us. She will never be forgotten.
Clare,
I am so sorry that Meg is no longer with us. I am so glad we got to meet and I got to know Meg through you and all your pictures. You always had a special way of sharing Meg and all she was to you. She beat every odd that was given to her and beyond. She knew you loved her from that first day in the Church yard.
I know I sure will miss that MEGASTAR.
Sending lots of love and hugs
