Here's a sample of Frankie doing his thing. It is a set up in that I put a bit of pizza crust on the stove and filmed him trying to get it. I lpve how he "grasps" with his one front paw. He keeps glancing at me because he can't believe I'm not "interrupting" him and making him get off.

Actually my stove "broke" years ago so it's "harmless". The only thing that works anymore is one burner, but he cantw reach the k o for that. My "oven" is a toaster oven.
I had another first with Frankie just now though. I opened the refrigerator, took something a few feet over ro the sink. Turned around and he was "shelf surfing" Inside the refrigerator!!!- That boy! 🙂

Well Jasper can walk from the back of the couch onto my kitchen counter (ala cat) so nothing can be on that counter! She has destroyed a sponge but that's about it. What she does do is when I get home from the grocery is stick her nose in all the bags ... she is my little quality control! LOL ... basically she is checking to make sure I stocked up on baby carrots, cucumbers and spinach for her!
Shelby on the other hand ... that is why we had SO many ER visits for chocolate consumption! Super motivated food hound.

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Ohh got it! Well Frankie definitely has all the makings of a great Trick Dog, I think he could be a worldwide superstar in that field. Next up, Hollywood!

TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.
I love that stove too. He is too agile for his own good. I am surprised he hasn't tried to steal his food off the stove LOL he steals everything else

Speaking of stoves and counter surfing, you guys won't believe this. I was in Australia during Christmas and my husband was home. Weims are famous for counter surfing and ours are no exception. I called home and my husband told me Hank (who sleeps in the front room) was surfing our gas stove and turned on a burner. When hubby got up the next morning the whole house was filled with propane. He had to open all the windows even though it was about 20 degrees outside. So now we have baby locks on our dials on our stove. Good thing he doesn't smoke or he would have been history. So be careful Sally.

Okay, they don't do it in front of me. I've seen some evidence of hair but even though I'm not there and have left some kibbles on the counter, they don't get eaten.
A hound's nose just can't resist. And I agree, Sally has the best home. Rather than being annoyed about her cake, she asks if they want ice cream with it!! Cracks me up. What a happy home.

So I realise I'm late to the party here, but I have been laughing literally until the tears stream down my face. Love Myrtle and scrumptious face lapping up her latte, and Frankie's stove top surfing is HILARIOUS! But I think the thing I love most of all, is the 'Good boy' when Frankie achieves his goal of 'stealing' from the stove top. LOVE it. Just LOVE! Sally, I want to come back as one of your dogs...
