Santa and his elves are Ollie's doctors. He was so very good while he had his pictures taken. The ugly Christmas sweater, on the other hand, kept sliding down. Ollie does much better in the itch department when he is wearing a shirt.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!

Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

I loved this photo, too. And yes, he is a big boy...85 pounds and on the lean side. We are pretty careful about his weight, as Santa said he has the capacity to top 100 pounds without trying very hard. No fat Labs for us if we can help it.

LOL! You didn't see him in the waiting room! He was nuts, trying to "greet" anyone and everyone...people and dogs! You also didn't get to see the mad dash for the counter when the tech started squeaking the stuffie. He was very intently watching that toy when we snapped the photo.

I don't think there is anyone, canine or human, who Ollie doesn't like. Cats are an iffy proposition. If they stay still, he's OK, but let them run.....
We have been very lucky finding a shelter dog with so few social problems.
