Even though we have opted to wait for the off leash part of training class, we have still been working on Ollie's skills. We make a twice weekly trip to the dog park in Meridian, ID, so Ollie can get some extra exercise, some off-leash time and some socialization. He always seems to find one dog on his trip to the park who he plays with. He tends to mainly be with us, though, rather than running with the other dogs. Today's "friend" was a six month old bloodhound named Lucy. She was a character.

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Awesome job 🙂 I am glad he is getting to do some off leash work at a park plus socialization is awesome 🙂

Murphy had his right front leg amputated due to histiocytic sarcoma at 7 years old. He survived 4 years, 2 months & 1 week, only to be taken by hemangiosarcoma at 11 1/2 years 6/12/17

WOW OLLIE!!! Especially that first video! Not inly did you bring that ball back, but you dropped it and sat down beside your Dad! Beautiful job!
I lpve how happy Ollie is in all the videos. You really have him enjoying each "game" with such a happy smile and wagging tail.
Oh, and I love his Blood Hound puppy firend!!

Thanks, Sally. He really is rather amazing. We still don't dare try something like this in an unfenced area, though.
I hope that someday we can get video of his friend "Ein" who is a Corgi. Ein is just hysterical! He is so quick that he beats Ollie to the ball every single time, with his little feet scritch, scritch, scritching along the sidewalk ninety miles an hour.
There are some dogs that we see more than once, and some that we have only seen one time. Going to the park a couple of times a week, though, we should start recognizing more of them.

Oh, I would LOVE to see that! I have actually thought of setting up a small course for my Lucy in our yard. She sticks to my heels like glue, so she may actually be pretty good. She has the energy for sure. The Labrodork was truly meant to be yours. You 2 are the best! Lori, Ty & Gang
TY GUY, Best Black Lab ever! Diagnosed and had amp in January, 2014. Kicked MRSA's butt. Earned his angel wings on April 16, 2014. Run Free my boy and don't forget a shoe. Ty is a proud member of the " April Angels". Ty sent us Daryl, a Tripawd rescue in Sept. of 2016. Daryl is 5 +or -. We are also Pawrents to Chandler, a Border Collie mix who is 15 and 1/2, Lucy, a Corgi who is 7, 2 minis, 2 horses, and a feisty cat named Zoe. Zoe had a non skeletal Osteosarcoma removed in July 2015. No Chemo, she was at least 16. She is going strong although she is now completely blind. She is now close to 20 and her hobbies are eating and sleeping in front of her personal heater.

Dad is trying to get some of that massive amount of leaves in the back yard picked up. Ollie doesn't think he needs to use ear protection while using the leaf blower. This is pure Ollie at his Labradork best.

I had to chuckle when I saw this on FB. Snickers does the exact same thing but only I don't video tape it. I am out there trying to get the coat (she steals Jasmine's all the time). She leaves Bosch alone. Then she runs around crazy and fast. Just reminds me of her

Once we got the ear protectors away from him, he ran back onto the porch and got the bag for the leaf blower. That was good for another few laps around the yard.
