Yep, I had a few days off this week, so thst means more time to "train" Merry Myrtle!!!
Now, this is a well trained dog who will come PROMPTLY even while eating a cat or deer poop delicacy!

OH my goodness. She has the cookie word down. Now say come cookie LOL. She will get the come part. Then eventually take away cookie word but still treat.
She really is letting you know she wants in huh but I love it.

MISS Michelle...Merry Myrtle here!!! Did you REALLY say "take away the cookie"??????? I read these things ya know!! I have her trained exactly the way a human should be trained! It took me awhile, but that human n of mine finally learned...no cookie...no coming to her!!! So, shhhh....now don t tell her any different! Wait tell she tells you how I got out of the car at the Starbucks window!!! This spoiling stuff is working great! No boundaries, no limits, all she does is laugh! Well, she wasn't laughing too much at Starbucks....she used a word I had never heard before...BAD.dog!! Can you believe it? She actually called me BAD? I'd better get back to training her! She's getting out of control!!!
Anyway...she'll update you on that later!

OMG ... Jasper would NEVER come back for 'cookie' and she knows that word. So jealous I can't even let Jasper off the leash like that ... she's just to darn fast. And that cat situation - OY! That would never happen. Jasper would be ears TALL and BIG(ger) and in attack mode! Myrtle is such a gentle soul.... I love it!!!
I will say, Jasper heard 'cookie' and looked up from what she was doing ... but no cookies for her. It's her suppertime!
But the ball thing - Jasper has mastered that! She's gotten so much better about not only fetching but bringing it back and 'drop'ping the ball when I ask her too. Maybe she can still learn a few things ... her vocabulary has improved and it's almost 100% English now!

October 15, 2000 to April 8, 2014
Our story: Broke rear leg in June 2013 - non-conclusive results for cancer so leg was plated and pinned. Enlarged spleen in September 2013 and had it removed and was diagnosed with Hemangiosarcoma and started chemotherapy. Became a Tripawd January 8th, 2014 and definitive Hemangiosarcoma diagnosis. Three major surgeries in 7 months and Shelby took them all like a champ only to lose her battle to cancer in her brain. We had 8 amazing extra months together and no regrets. #shelbystrong #loveofmylife

Murphy is a five year old Lab/Chessie cross. He was hit by a car on 10/29/12 and became a Tripawd on 11/24/12. On 2/5/13, he had a total hip replacement on his remaining back leg. He has absolutely no idea that he has only three legs!
UPDATE: Murphy lived his life to the fullest, right up until an aggressive bone lesion took him across the Rainbow Bridge on April 9, 2015 and he gained his membership in the April Angels. Run free, my love. You deserve it!
Bhahaha! I think Myrtle and Wyatt Ray graduated from the same training school. Well, Wyatt missed the section about coexisting with cats. She does very well with that one!

Deb and Angel Lexie* Diagnosed at age 13. Tried radiation first; wish we had amputated upon diagnosis (even with lung mets). Joined Club Tripawd April 2014 & Lexie loved life on 3 legs! Advice: Start physical therapy as soon as your vet clears it, especially hydrotherapy if available :-) See Lexie pics here.
I'm not sure which is my favorite, you throwing the ball and Myrtle walking away or Stoner eating a potato chip. LOVE!! Myrtle is no dummy, the only running she was doing was when there was a cookie involved (I don't blame her, I feel like I should get a cookie every time I run too haha). Crazy man Tanner is a great listener if food is involved....if not, forget about it.

Jill is a 9-year-old tuxedo kitty. She was diagnosed with Osteosarcoma in June 2012 on her toe in her right hind leg. Her leg was amputated on 12/12/12 and she completed four rounds of chemo (2 of Carbo, 2 of Doxy) in April 2013.
