Oh, okay, I've got it. It really does sound like mignon is enjoying all the attention, as well as the company of the other dog. And no he's happy to see you during all the commute.

Hello Everyone
This past weekend marks 2 months since Jolie went to heaven. I have been slowly exercising practicality. I went to the neighborhood center and bought trash stickers to put on the now unused cat towers and hauled them outside so the trash men can take them away. I gave all the unused syringes and butterfly needles to Jongho for use on Cleo.I brought all of Mignon's snacks and dry food to where he is staying at Jongho's.
I finally threw out the half-used renal feed that I tried to give Jolie during that last week. The pee pads and cleaning spray that I was using during those last desperate days are still on the kitchen table. I shall have to take care of that soon.
His blanket and pillow I used to carry him in on his last journey to the vet are neatly folded on the living room floor. Looking at them gives me solace so there they shall remain.
I have 2 cat cushions that have images of cats on them that look alot like Mignon and Jolie. I bought them about 10 years ago, perhaps subconsciously I was preparing for the time when my real Jolie and Mignon were no longer here. These cushions rest side by side on my bed;they give me comfort.
I get caught up in some minutes of reverie each day when I'm here. In some moments I feel wrapped in a sense of serenity.
The intensity of the last year, the waves of desperation, the hopeful moments when a miracle seemed possible....
And now a sense of calm....or is this what grief feels like.....

Edward, I can't believe it's been two months. There's a long wave of ups and downs that we must ride at a time like this. You do sound like you have made a lot of emotional progress since that sad day you set him free, and I'm sure that Jolie is so proud of you. And Mignon too! Your calmer emotional state is something that he can sense, and reflect back to you. That's all our animals want, to know that everything is right with their people they love so much.
Finding good homes, and discarding what you don't need, is such a good way to honor Jolie's memory and get your own life back into order. We are proud of you too.
