He's home!  They said to make sure that he doesn't run or jump and to give him anything he wants to eat.  So as soon as he got home I opened a can of wet food and he dug right in.  He's hopping around pretty well from what I can tell. He laid next to me and groomed himself, then used the litter box. No trouble with either of those.  I have pictures of him eating and his incision site. He does have to go back in 7 days for a checkup.Image Enlarger

You are free to use the photos, hope they help!

He was not happy about taking his medications this morning, he spit out the antibiotic and scratched up my arm. Other than that things are going really well, we did have to leave him to go to work today, so he has plenty of time to rest.

Mom said he tried to escape his room when she saw him before she left this morning.

Awww spoken like a true kitty mom! I'm glad everything else is going well, hope your arm is ok. That spunky spirit of his can really work in his favor, and clearly he's mentally ready to get back to normal at least. Good sign! Just keep him as calm as possible for the best physical outcome.

Thanks for permission to share the photos! Keep us posted and let us know how tomorrow goes.

Today's scratches were to my leg, he really hates the antibiotic.  Other than that things seem to be going well, we had a good cuddle last night. I got a pic of his sweet little face even!

Awwwww he's just so adorable! Great pic.

Sorry about the antibiotic fight. Ouch! How many more days do you have to give it to him? And how are you giving it to him each time?

LT is very adorable.

As a suggestion, when medicating LT you can wrap him in a towel like a burrito so you don't get scratched. Here's a video:

I called the vet yesterday, about him spitting out the antibiotics and she had me come in so they could give him an injection of a long lasting antibiotic instead.  He fussed the whole way there then was silent the whole way home.  He let me give him the other meds, no problem.  He's eating more and seems to be up and about more each day.

Oh awesome! Just curious what is the antibiotic they gave him?

Sounds like he may be giving in a little to the medication dosing, or at least we can hope right?

That's really great about his appetite. Little by little he's getting that zing back!

Glad the appetite is picking  up!  And good for you for getting that injection to ensure he gets that antibiotic!
