Today on Tripawd Tuesday we wanted to share the story of Hope, a busy and energetic therapy dog who lost her leg to an accident but hasn’t let that slow her down one bit. Her mom Pam Reinke writes:
Hope is a five year old golden doodle who is a pet therapy dog. We visit with special needs children, Hospice of the Valley and our hospital.
For three years She has performed in 54 performances here of Annie in local community theatres.
We recently were certified as a crises response team for HOPE Animal Assisted Crises Response to help with grief recovery of survivors post disaster.
She is a very very special dog. Has a lot of fans and friends which became blatantly evident to me after she was involved in a horrific motor vehicle accident January 7 which caused her left rear leg amputation.
We are recovering together and beginning a new three legged life together.
The photo was taken last week at the top of Mount Lemmon in Tucson AZ. It was our first attempt back at some sort of trail. She was so happy to just be in that environment if only for a short time.
