Maggie is my happy 7 year old black lab who is at this very moment recovering in the ICU after a front leg amputation today for a hemangiosarcoma. She had a failed skin graft in September which left her with a non-healing gaping wound. After 4 months of confinement and wound care the likelihood of amputation became inevitable.
