Please join us for our first official “Ask a Vet” chat will take place on Wednesday, October 29 at 9pm Eastern, 6pm Pacific.
Our vet will be Dr. Pam Wiltzius, a veterinarian in Puyallup, Washington. She has generously offered to participate in this informal chat session as her schedule permits.
Dr. Wiltzius graduated in 1992 from University of Wisconsin-Madison. In 2003, she and her husband moved to Puyallup, WA where she currently works at River Road Animal Hospital. They have 3 dogs, 3 birds, and 1 lizard.
Looking forward to chatting with you on Wednesday, 10/29!
Thanks to everyone joining the chat. I really enjoyed it. Thanks Pam for taking the time to educate us. Love to Tazzie and the rest of the clan

A transcript of our first live Ask a Vet chat session is now available in the announcements forum. Thank you Genie!
I, for one, am very impressed with the way the chat went. Some very important and interesting info was passed along. I’m glad I was able to see this and I just wanted everyone to know that I may be a bit shy, but I was trying to support everyone as best I could. Thanks to all my friends on http://www.tripawds.com I’m so glad I am able to be a part of this fine group. And, Jim & Rene, you really made my day today, and Blazer’s. Thank you for spending time with me when I know how busy you are.
Love, Blazer, Kitty Kimber & Vicki Tankersley
Thank you Genie! That would be great, we’ll publish the transcript and highlights in a post when you’re done.
Unfortunately, the Shoutbox only displays the most recent 30 posts – deleting the oldest one each time a new post comes in. The box is already at its maximum size, and adding extra data is not possible. Thanks again.
I’ll volunteer to periodically copy the messages to a file.
Is there a way to display a running number (or the system time) for each message so it would be easier to delete the duplicates once copied to the file. If not, that’s fine. It should not be too hard to eyeball them one by one.
Sorry, the chat plug-in does not allow a transcript export since it only retains 30 messages at a time.
Will there be a transcript available for those who can’t attend? (I’d love to be there but I think it works out in the middle of the night for us UK peeps!).
We’ll shoot for an hour but don’t be surprised if it runs long.
any idea how long the forum will last? My mom works evenings on Wednesday, gets home around 9:45 EST…
woof woof woof – does the lizard talk dog?
