When Oslo was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, our first reaction was to think he was too big for amputation. That option seemed not a great idea, even if he was a slim and fit dog. We could not figure out how Oslo would be able to still walk and run. We were all extremely concerned about his remaining front leg. After seeing Tazzie (#1, the beautiful Mastiff) on a video, we started to be more opened to the amputation idea. That's why today, I just want to share this video of Oslo taking a walk at the park 3 months post-amputation. It may help someone else one day, you never know. (Oslo is a 8-year-old newfoundland , weight: 125 pounds)
P.S. ok ok. I must admit : I am a very proud mom and I wanted to show you how good he is too.

All I could get was some audio when trying to watch the footage. Sorry I didn't get to see it but I am very happy to hear Oslo is doing well.

Oh Happy Day Oslo!! You kept this day a surprise from us. You look terrific but that human is a bit slow. Can't he jog so you can hop fast like a 3-legged dog wants to??
Congratulations. We are so happy for you and really enjoy seeing your videos. You are beautiful!!

Oslo looks great! I 'm sure that he will inspire other giant breed owners who might not think that their large dogs can handle amputation.

He is major inspiration. More proof big dogs CAN make it on three legs.
