Whooah! If you have any polyurethane glues laying around your house, put them up high and keep away from pets!

We had no idea that products like Gorilla Glue have such horrific consequences if ingested by pets. Our friend the Preventive Vet just launched this educational campaign. Please share the video widely with hastag . Thanks!

This is so weird that you posted about this.  Just this past Friday I had a friend show me a photo of her neighbor's dog who had eaten a whole bottle of Gorilla glue.  He had to have emergency surgery to remove this HUGE ball out of his stomach.  The photo showed him on his back displaying his incision with the ball of glue laying next to him.  Scary stuff.  Thank goodness she found him in time and got him to the vet and they were able to save him!

Yikes is all I can say.....info well taken and ALL glue put away......

Thanks for sharing,

Love, Bonnie & Angel Polly

(P.S.....But on a side note, if I had my choice of this and getting quick help for it, compared to dealing with the ugly "c", I'm afraid I'd take the glue .....sad)

Eliquid - another item many don't know the dangers of! I myself use an an e-cigarette (as a quitting aid, haven't smoked for weeks!) and I'm glad I researched this. Even just a few drops can have deadly consequences, though its less dangerous in the low content liquid I use. I still put all my e-cigarette stuff in a drawer and wash my hands after touching it. Every time! I tell all my friends who use one to exercise the same precaution!

Whoooah. What's eliquid? The stuff that goes in the cigs? Glad you're quitting, good for you!

Yeah, it's the nicotine extract that e-cigarettes vaporize. A puppy in the UK has already died from puncturing the bottle. She didn't even drink it, they got it away from her as soon as she punctured it!

Hey Marla, would you mind sharing this in the YouTube video comments section? Or if you're on Twitter, in the Preventive Vet feed? He would be so grateful for that real world experience. Lots of people think it can't happen to their dog. Thank you!

I will share on YouTube video comments (not on twitter).  I'm also going to see if Jackie will text me the pic to share because you really wouldn't believe the size of the glue ball that came out of the poor pups tummy!
