My sweet golden Mackenzie.  She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2  although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home.  She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009.  She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes.  I love you Mackenzie!

Thanks, guys.  Yes that is our yard and my feeble attempt at a flower bed.  Those little flowers are in the weed family, that's the only reason I can get them to growwinker  They close up in the afternoon, so we had to get the pic at mid-morning while they were in full bloom.

Great picture Shanna! It looks so peaceful, like a day at the park with Trouble and Duke. Beautiful flowers as well. Is the grass centipede?

The grass is St Augustine.  It photographs beautifully – you don't see any of the weeds in it 🙂  If you guys like the yard, you'll love my ditch.

i hate you...i had my lawn replaced two years ago and my gardener leveled it and put wire down...either he did it mowing when it was too wet (but it didn't happen in front) or the moles and gophers did it but it is very uneven to walk on THEN appears this different colored "grass" that is I guess something called nut grass that the sod rep said my gardener was supposed to have treated the soil to keep it from happening....I don't even care IF it would take over the WHOLE thing so it would look uniform...which was one of the reasons I had it replaced in the first place...too many years of weeds, different grasses, Echo digging dens in it etc. it was AWFUL...yours is just beautiful, and I actually think a gal who worked for me recommended that kind of grass (she lived in Texas for many years..i think she still does in her head)...maybe the NEXT time...ha...like I want to go through that again...certainly not with this gardener who has been working for us for 10 years and I still have trouble understanding him...especially when he asked if I gave Whiskey a shower every day...now THAT conversation was really difficult....he was always kinda afraid of Magic for some reason...and when I had both Echo and Magic....we worked it out so Echo was gone on the days he came....a little too intimidating for him...

your yard is just absolutely gorgeous and i'm gonna go pout now

Diane, the yard really is not smooth, it too needs to be leveled it just photographs really well.  I really worry about Trouble on her three legs trying to navigate without hurting herself.

The background on the ditch is really funny.  I've been pissing and moaning about it for about two years. Clean it up, keep it that way, you know just bitchin.  Bob finally told me he thought it really looked nice - like a little brook running along the side of the yard.  You know how things look different under different circumstances...well I took my phone out and took about 10 pictures of it from different angles. I didn't look at them, took them in the house and uploaded them to the laptop and sat down and looked at them.  What you see are two of the 10 - he won the battle.  I had to agree, they looked pretty nice.
