So perfect Clare!  I must admit I've been picturing our Pie as an Angel Pie in my mind with wings on that stocky little body the last few days so this picture is just what I needed.  Picturing Pie as an angel was bringing me a smile through my tears.  Now I can see how close it was to my minds eye.  Only thing I had different was glitter on her wings.  And Meg there smiling here on earth (no doubt still communicating with Elsie Pie in the heavens) brings me a smile.....still a sad smile but a smile nonetheless.  Thank you for sharing that with us!

I think we are all teared up and have been!

I cried happy and sad tears making it.

The song was PURRFECT and the first time I heard it, I knew that was for Miss Pie!

Megstamum said
How thrilled she would be, glancing over at Meg to make sure she'd noticed, 'Do you see, Meg? Do you see what they're saying! And it's not even like I'm a tripawd Meg. Do you see how much they love me!’

I agree that is exactly what Miss Pie IS saying not what she would say:) She is whispering to Meg your thoughts are picking up her whispers Clare!!

She is not gone she is in a different form! I see Miss Pie with little black silvery wings;) Sally see’s her in cahsmere and Linda in glitter;) 😎 Either way we all cleary see the Pie has wings!

Miss Pie will never be forgotten we were honored to get to know her thru you Clare!
I do hope you & Meg are managing ok !  Love the drawing !

To be clear we love all 3 of you❣️

what a beautiful song! Tears running down my face as I listened to it...I love the concept that all our heart dogs are borrowed angels. Bravo Holly! Clare - you need to make this into a DVD, to have for all times.

And btw, did you do thst sketch of Pie?

Sadly not, Sally. I would LOVE to be able to draw like that. It's a sketch by my friend, the artist Viv Levy. In fact, I first met her when she approached me one day when I was out walking with Elsie and asked if she could draw her.

This was her first Pie drawing:

Else-drawings-1-of-2.jpgImage Enlarger

And since then she's done dozens. The house is literally full of them. She also wrote/drew a children's book, featuring Elsie as a dog detective.

These are some of my favourite pics:

Viv's dog, Sophie, is (was?) one of Elsie's very best friends and she's drawn lots of them together.

Apologies to Viv for the quality of the photos. It's 4.30 in the morning here, and I've just gone round snapping them on my phone. I'm still struggling to process the fact Pie's gone. I mean, it just seems so unbelievable. Impossible. I can't get my head round it.

Great minds, Paula.... I've downloaded it and will be making multiple copies to make sure it's safe for all time.

WOW CLARE!!!!   WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWWOW!!!    These are wonderful!!   I love that they are ...hmmm....welll....."artsy"!   One of a kind! 🙂 🙂 🙂  just like the Pie!  And yes, you too Meg!

The sketch with Sophie and Meg touching noses...quite unique.   Never realized the Pie looked quite like a Seal frm above! 🙂

I bet everywhere you went with Pie people stared at her so adoringly!  Obviously having a three-legged dog by her side probably generated a few stares too-

The "not -random -there -are -no -coincidences" woo wooo stuff sure did happen when Pie caught Viv's eye! 🙂   Look atl the glorious memories she put to paper!!   That Pie is an artist's delight!

And then to have Pie star in her book!   WOW!!!  PIE IS FAMOUS!!! 🙂

I'm sooooo glad you have these one of a kind memories of this one of a kind Pie.   I know the void and shock stll gut you in waves.   As you know, we are all right by your side holding onto you tightly.  Those waves may knock you down, but we'll help you back up.

PLEASE keep these wonderful snippets of the life of Pie coming!  We learn something new about her everyday.

I cannot even begin to imagine what her job at the Bridge us!!  Surely she headlines The Bridge Comedy Club every night and makes everybody laugh!! 🙂   She would have to have some food related job too....not sure what that would be

Happy Hannah had a glorious additional bonus time of over one yr & two months after amp for osteo! She made me laugh everyday! Joined April's Angels after send off meal of steak, ice cream, M&Ms & deer poop!

The pictures and videos leave me without words. She is such a special girl.

I can only think that her job here was done.

She will always be with you Clare,

with her stoutly determined character, and her resolute chin stuck up in the air, and her never holding back, not once, not ever, from expressing her opinions.

She has etched herself into your heart and soul. When you come to a point in your life when you are hesitant to express yourself remember to ask yourself WWED?*  And there she will be!

Oh Clare,

These drawings are absolutely priceless.  I didn't realize that Elsie was featured in a book.  What great memories.  I know it's hard to process right now but Elsie sure left her stamp on everyone.  Thank you for sharing these special memories and pictures with us.  Just so hard to wrap our heads around this.

Your friend is very talented.

I love what Karen said " When you come to a point in your life when you are hesitant to express yourself remember to ask yourself WWED?* And there she will be!"   That is so true.  ( What would Elsie Do)

Viv obviously saw Elsie’s character that is why she stopped you and wanted to draw her.
How neat and she captured Elsie Pie perfectly!!! I hope you have the first drawing framed I love it!! You have some real treasures there, I agree priceless treasures!

We all know how tough this is and there is nothing we can do to take that pain away. We are all here. Sally always has the right words to say;)

As you know, we are all right by your side holding onto you tightly.  Those waves may knock you down, but we'll help you back up.

Everyone of our animals carry on thru us after their job is done here. Never gone but different and I’m not saying different is easy IT’S NOT. I do find some comfort by knowing they live on in a different form and knowing we will see them again one day. I believe that with all of my being!

I had a vision of Elsie’s collar and special charm with her photo in a shadow box on the wall:) I know you could make it extremely special.

Sending lots of love and hugs across the ocean! Meg take care of Mum ok!

Oh no I am so sorry about Elise Pie.  Her and Meg, what an adventurous pair.  The pictures and videos are just beautiful.  I especially enjoy the rolling in leaves/grass/what have you.

Thinking of you and Meg.
