Okay, I want to come back a reply to you all!  In the meantime:

I've been busy wrapping my home on bubble wrap to protect Merry Myrtle .

Apparently  my new decor wasn't  "tasteful"....or perhaps way too tasty! 😎

Frankie worked hard tearing that bubble wrap down...a few sweet teeth marks to prove it.  Treasured memories😚

LOL Where is the laughing and rolling smily 🙂   Frankie was pretty proud of himself and Myrtle did a great job in the party too.  I know you wanted to protect her.  Frankie was just having too much fun.

What a pair! Frankie is super eager but Myrtle is actually extremely efficient with her great powerful jaws. Between them that bubble wrap didn’t stand a chance. Thanks Mum for setting up a great game, they’re thinking. That was fun, now what’s next?

i think Merry Myrtle sees the eye doctor today, Sally? We’ll be thinking of you. Please update when you can. And I hereby prescribe two puppy lattes, one on the way and a second on the way home.

Sending love,

Meg, Clare and Angel Pie xxx

The picture of the remaining bits of tape around your table is the best 😅

Frankly, if this was signed by a famous artist you’d become an instant millionaire 💰💰💰... as is this could be the beginning of an artistic career for Myrtle and Frankie 🥁

Sending you an avalanche of kisses and a tornado of cuddles, I’m traveling but will be checking for updates on the vet’s visit the minute I can 😘😘😘🐮✨💫🌟🌹

Ditto we were thinking today was Myrtle's appt. 🙏🤞🏻

Oh no so much for the bubble wrap idea, what about the halo idea? I have no idea if that would work there are a lot of different ones and I know nothing is cheap!

Is Myrtle bumping into things?
Here are some inexpensive ideas....
What about using pipe insulation already sliced and should go around edges and corners.
everbilt-pipe-insulation-orp07812-64_1000.jpg

or those foam pool noodles slicing it down one side. Like the above. I have used the pipe insulation idea here before Purrkins amp when we thought his bump might have been an injury. We covered the window frame and handle with those, I cut it to fit! It did not look pretty but who cares when it is safety matters right? It worked just some ideas that they might not find so fun to chew on? Or not ?

Update us when you can we have all crossed here for the eye appt.

Lots of Love

I just love being able to call THE BEST OF HUMANITY  my friends!!  Thank you for that true privilege!😚

Gonna come back...vut quick update...

Have gotten the pressure down some...so that's  really good!!  In the remaining  "good" eye (relatively speaking) he did see a slight  response to the bright light he flashed in her eye, so that's  good!!  YAY!!

Plan for now is to add back in a total of two meds to "good eye" and continue  with just the one in the bad eye, as long as pain is managed (also have a drop for that) And pressure continues  to be reduced.

We talked in length  about a surgery used if drops fail   that COULD be an option  that has about a 50/50 chance of restoring  some eyesight in good eye. The ole' crapshoot scenario.  I love one of his comments.  "Someone like Bill Gates would say to go ahead.....what the hell...it either works or it doesnt."  But those who aren't  millionaires  have to be logical and pracrical about how effective it may, or may  not be.   It would require numerous  vet follow ups and a lot pf cautious recovery time.    And he said that it really is pretty much 50/50 chance across the board    The percentage  returned, if "successful"  is a crap shoot too.

So in addition to bubble wrapping my home AGAIN and using pipe down insulation (GREAT HOLLY), gonna install bright fluorescent lighting on the floor...on the walls...and in the ceiling 🤣🤣

So in my world And in Merry Myrtle's world, as long as their is a smidgen  of some form of sight, there's  always hope for more!!!  That's  our story and we're  sticking to it!

BTW  her Blind Rock Star harness was a hit'😎

That is wonderful news. One day at a time that's all. Getting the pressure down will feel better and I bet then you will see her smile again.

Well this is the most TREMENDOUS news, Sally. Well done on getting the pressure down! What a triumph! I know that Merry Myrtle for all her obvious charms is not always the most obliging patient. You have worked wonders and it’s SO good to know that your efforts have been rewarded.

I love the sound of the doctor. What a brilliant attitude. So reassuring to know that you and Myrtle are in such good hands.

Where there’s light there’s hope. That’s a great motto. And where there’s love there’s light. And theres no shortage of love in your house. That’s for certain.

❤️❤️❤️
