I have to share how much I loved our session at Dalia's Doggie Rehab in Tom's River, NJ. Lisa Saez has a lovely facility that includes a water treadmill and balance boards. Maverick's favorites part was the extra large comfy dog bed though, lol. She also has a vet there able to do acupuncture if that's something you are interested in. Her website is dalsdogrehab.com. We plan to go back for post-surgery rehab so if anyone has questions feel free to ask :)

Maverick is a wonderful miniature australian shepard born with a malformation of the front right radius/ulna, amputation performed on 11/4/13 at 6 months old. Follow his story at mavericksjourney.tripawds.com.

Thank you so much for sharing that info here! We always love hearing about excellent practitioners (although it's also helpful to hear about not-so-good ones too!), and it's super cool that Lisa is a CCRT (certified canine rehab therapist).

One of our recommendations in Loving Life on Three Legs is to find a practitioner who is CCRT or CCRP (canine rehab practitioner) certified, they are among the best you can get.

I'd love to hear what Lisa's suggestions are for immediate post-op rehab exercises, say within the first four weeks. If you're interested in doing a video interview with her and a demo, boy that would be pawesome! If not that's cool too, any info here is helpful. Thanks so much.

I'll definitely ask her if she'd be willing to do an interview when we go back. I'm sure she'd be happy to help!
