Alright, I might need help with the counting - those of you who were there. Anyone want to claim they saw a bear when I wasn't looking?
Okay first there were the spirit tripawds: Yoda, Harley and Jerry (take that Mill Valley - Spirit Jerry was at OUR pawty - almost like OUR pawty was the greatest on the face of the earth or something... hmmmmm?).
We had one Iraq veteran - "G.I. Jack" - and we have decided that wounded veterans especially get double. Seriously, his human told me that he got shot in Iraq, got rescued and brought to the States, and had his amputation in May. Life was ruff over there of course, so he had to be leashed and gave the other dogs lots of warnings to give him his space, but wow, what a guy! I made sure he got a bandana, but we ended up going up opposite ways as the pawty was just getting started and don't know if they stayed long.
Then earthly, non-war veteran tripawds Gerry and Holly made it. Also siblings/roommates Zuzu, Toby and Biggie came.
We know Charlie wanted to come, but sounds like we suffered another Madison-area tripawd pawty jinx and he wasn't feeling up to it. I missed your posts Charlie, but heard about your platelets at the pawty. We're gonna count you anyway, bud!
So that puts us at at least 11, right? Did I forget anybody?
I'm going to go work on getting the videos and pictures ready to share. Thanks to everpawdy who made this pawty pawsible!!! We had a great time
Gerry has been a tripawd since 12/16/2009.
He was a shelter dog with a mysterious past and an irrepairable knee injury.

Hmmm, I think I need to add another $10 for the park ranger who came to visit us... and another for Gwen being strong enough to come out and pawty with us this soon after Harley's passing.
So I'm thinking 13. Anything else to add to the count?

We had Spirit Jerry AND an Iraq War Veteran Tripawd (with PTSD) … we win the greatest Pawty on the face of the Earth, hands down.
I think you counted everyone. Unless, you want to count Lassie, as I’m sure Gerry still has some of Lassie’s hair between his teeth … hee hee.Or the nice Park Ranger, who was kind enough not to check for Dog Park Permits. Thank you, Mr. Park Ranger!
Amputation on 11/10/09, due to Histiocytic Sarcoma in left elbow. Angel Harley earned his wings on 06/24/10.
Thanks for putting the Pawty together, Bri. Today is what would have been Harley's 8month Ampuversary … and I can't think of a better way to spend the day. Thanks.
(My internet connection is absolutely terrible today (grrrrrr!), so I don't know if I will be able to get back on to look at pictures, but looking forward to seeing them!!!)

Sounds and looks like you had a great time!!
You know the cool thing about being a Spirit- Jerry had plenty of time to attend your party at 8:30 your time (6:30 here), then make it to our party at 11:00 here (1:00 your time).
The other cool thing is that my count will be 13 as well- we had 7 earth bound Tripawds and 6 Spirit Tripawds (counting Jerry!).
However Bri- you are deffinitely going to beat me on getting video posted- well maybe I can get it done tonight. It might be a bad sign though that I had to look up the instructions to download to my computer...
Happy Tripawd Party day everyone!
Karen and the pug girls
Serioulsy, I have no idea how I got it up that fast. It should have taken me until tomorrow. Oh yeah, that's right, I didn't mow the lawn or do my laundry... bad Bri.
So 13 is our lucky number? Alrighty That's good, that way it can have a 3 in it without being too low, or being high enough to give me a heart attack.

13 = 1 leg gone, 3 legs left.
Excellent math skills! Makes perfect sens to me. Must be thanks to all that practice we used to get from those little addition problems we used to have to do with every post.
I realized I forgot to share the video of the pawty on the forums for those who don't spend much time in the blogs:
(Sorry, embedding into posts still confuses me. I know, I know, Admin, I still haven't checked the Tech Support forum regarding that. I'm sure that would clear it up for me. I do that… someday…)

Wish we could have been there to partake in all of that cheese....from Wisconsin......
Kami (Mackenzie's Mom)
My sweet golden Mackenzie. She became my angel on Dec 29, 2010 at the age of 8 1/2 although she was always my angel from the time we brought her home. She was diagnosed with osteosarcoma in Sept 2009 and officially became a tripawd (front leg) on Nov 5, 2009. She will be forever in my heart and now she's running free with all of our other tripawd heroes. I love you Mackenzie!
